GIT PMDG Unresponsive: FSX: Steam

Working fine since operational back mid-October, but now the Menu comes up and Tabs are not highlighted---it does show my GF hardware. Also SimConnect/FSX is Green(GF hardware works in default FSX).   When I move cursor to the Menu box, the box doesn't move.Have to use Task to shut it down.

  • Hi Doug,

It may be corrupt setting files. Rename My Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool to something else so GIT resets and try again.

  • Eureeka!!  Thanks so much. Doug
  • Yikes...after I renamed that file, the FSX menu for Weather, for example, only flashes an empty shell and then FSX crashes. Unrelated to renaming that file?  Is this a NET problem?  Thanks or help
  • Hi Doug,

Have you ran chkdsk on your drive as it sounds like its corrupt and messing everything up. Select Properties of your drive via Windows Explorer, then Tools and click the Check button.

  • ..meant to say the test showed no errors...if this was the right test.
  • Restarted computer to prompt 'disk check.' Came back to computer and it had rebooted with no messages. ASsuming any errors were fixed, but still have the same problem.

Maybe I should rename the FSX-Steam folder to clear up corrupt files ?
  • If you go into your steam library and select the properties on FSX SE, then select the Local Files tab and click Verify Integgrity of Game Cache.

It might be worth re-installing GIT as well.

  • I have reinstalled GIT.

Can't locate the steam library for FSX SE. So far, I get: Program files (86)>Steam>Steam Apps>common>FSX

Thanks for your time on this,  Steve!

    Doug
  • Bring up the Steam front end/program and click Library so your games are listed.

    Best wishes
