  • Hi,

    Look at the FAQ item called "My MCP PRO or MCP Advanced is not updating its display (just showing zeroes)".

    The FAQ is here: http://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/16-installation/70-faq-goflight-interface-tool.html

    Best wishes

  • Sorry I did all the following and still not running except for default planes
    I'm using latest version of P3D

    My MCP PRO or MCP Advanced is not updating its display (just showing zeroes)

    There are 4 potential causes.

    1) You are not running the latest versions of the NGX or 777. The NGX needs to be installed with SP1D.

    2) The PMDG NGX and 77X will stop sending messages via their SDK and thus into this driver if

    - the aircraft is flown and then you return to the FSX main menu and re-fly it again;

    - switch between different models;

    - your default flight is set to use the NGX or 777 and then you change to another NGX/777 aircraft or model;

    It will manifest itself as the displays on the MCP PRO not updating, although you can use buttons and switches on the MCP PRO and the NGX/77X will respond. You will also notice no activity on the PMDG status LED on the Status Tab.

    PMDG have acknowledged this as an issue with FSX/Simconnect and is why they always recommend to restart FSX after each flight with the NGX/77X.

    3) It may also be due to the PMDG SDK not being enabled. The enabling of the SDK is automatic if you have "FSX Enabled" and/or "Prepar3D Enabled" (whichever is appropriate) ticked on the Settings tab. You can check or set this option manually by using notepad to open the follow file(s):

    For the NGX: <your flight sim directory>\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\737NGX_Options.ini

    For the 777: <your flight sim directory>\PMDG\PMDG 777X\777X_Options.ini

    and ensure the following exists:

    [SDK]
    EnableDataBroadcast=1 (if this is set to 0 change it to 1)

    4) On some systems the Flight Simulator software and the GoFlight Interface Tool need to be run as Administrator. Right click on the program concerned (e.g. FSX.exe and afterwards GoFlight Interface Tool.exe). Select the compatibility tab and tick run this program as administrator.

  • Do the buttons and switches work? Go onto the PMDG CDU and get the version number and let me know what it is.

    Thx

    Steve

  • Where do I get the CDU version in PMDG?
  • version 1.1 CDU PMDG
  • Hi,

    Do the buttons and switch work on the MCP PRO?

    Have you enabled the devices in GIT?

    Try renaming My Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool to something else. Then re-enable the devices in GIT and try again.

    Thx

    Steve

  • works perfectly now thanks, since I've erased Goflight Interface Tool file
  • now that this PMDG works, Aerosoft Airbus doesn't work now
  • You will need to reimport the Airbus config as you wiped your configuration files.

    Steve

  • So Understand to erase "My Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool" each time I want to use or reimport an zip file configuration
  • No. When you renamed the directory, you lost all your settings. You simply need to download and import the Airbus Config once and it will work.
  • DID THAT NOT WORKING IMPORTING THIS FILE...I IMPORTED ALSE BY REMOVING BESPOKES EVENT
  • Not sure what you mean. Did you use the Import Wizard?
  • Now that in the GoFlight Interface tool folder

  • The only thing I can recommend is try importing the config again for the Airbus. If it doesn't work, check that no recent update of the Airbus has happened as this normally breaks configs and events and variables have changed.

    Steve

  • Did that with no success, and no recent update made to the Airbus, not even default P3d works for the Airbus
  • Do you still have the old GoFlight directory configs? If so do they work with the Airbus (rename My Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool and rename your old config directory back to My Documents\Goflight Interface Tool, then start GIT)
  • edited February 2017
    Did that and still not working
  • I think something has changed with the Airbus itself. Check the forum for the original post from the author of the config and ask him to check it.

  • The airbus has changed many times from airbus extended to now the 320/321/318/319, at least 4 that I know of and now there is a test version. You should be very specific on which version of Airbus and the model you are using. I have a feeling may be a naming convention or name shortening issue or a simconnect var has changed. The profile on this site is very old now.

  • I had a similar problem GF MCP PRO worked with the PMDG B737 but not the 747/777, although the three green lights were on in GF Interface.
    If you go to Device manager/Universal Serial Bus controllers, right click on ALL USB's then Properties and Power Management, remove the tick (if there) from Allow Computer to turn off device. Do the same in Device Manager/Human Interface Devices for all USB's.
    This worked for me for the 747/777 working again.
