Programming of APU Starter rotary - PMDG B747-400v3 (P3D)

Hello to all:

I have tried every possible combination and permutation, to try and get the APU starter switch, assigned to one of my GF- RP-48 rotaries, without any success.
I have tried any option with an "APU" in it (i.e."APU_STARTER" , " APU_OFF_SWITCH", "EVT_OH_APU_START_SORCE", etc.) and related rotate or mouse click options, without success.
Anybody tried this and made it?
Please share!
Thanks!
Roberto

  • Hi Roberto,

Use EVT_OH_ELEC_APU_SEL_SWITCH with an Action of ROTATE.

    Best wishes

  • Thank you Steve:

Sorry for the late response but I was a bit ill.

    Cheers

  • Hello again Steve:

I have finally managed to get the APU start rotary to work, with the settings you suggested.
The remaining issue (for me), is that the rotary on the aircraft's OH panel, does not "spring" back from START to ON.

I have to return it manually anti-clockwise, very carefully, to avoid a "double click"  that turns the APU off.

Is there a "walk around" to this, or "it is what it is"?

Thanks as usual and as always.

  • Hi Roberto,

Nothing can be done about that.

    Best wishes
