Anomalies with GF45 - P3D (PMDG NGX and 744)

Hello folks:

I have one GF45, which I programmed according to the special instruction paper on it.
The events, are the standard XPDR, CO1S, CO2S, NA1S, NA2S, ADF

I have assigned one of the RP48 buttons to cycle through the evnets of the GF45 and it works OK.

The two issues that I have are:

1) After being "reminded" by VATSIM ATC that I am costnatly "changing" the setting of the assigned transponder, I checked and found that whenever I change the frequency on any of the other events, the setting on the XPDR changes to "whatever". The two first number change if I am changing the integers of a COM or NAV and the two last set of numbers of the XPDR change, when I am changing the decimals of a COM or NAV. So every time I change a frequency, the XPDR is reset to another undertermined setting.

I have tried, but been unable to determine what might be causing this!!

2) When I rotate the integers or decimals in any COM or NAV (sometimes also for XPDR) the numbers on the GF45, "jump" around. Sometimes, clockwise they go up, others they go down and other times, they will jump two on two, etc. etc. It takes patience and a lot of rotating knobs one way or another, to eventually get to the frequency setting that I want.

I have read the comments "Write Delay" and "Com Delay" on the GF45 special paper, but again, I have not found a post that might help me with this and the previous issue.

Many regards,
Roberto

  • Hi Roberto,

Issue one may be a bug in the software or a config issue. Can you zip up My Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool so I can check it.

Issue two may be worn rotatory encoders. If possible try the GF45 with a default plane and the standard GoFlight drivers (GFConfig) and see if the jumping still occurs.

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • Here it is.

I will check the GF45 with another airplane as, indeed, it is my very first module (and I will not tell how old that is)

    Thanks!
    Roberto
  • Hi Roberto,

The config looks fine, so it looks like a bug. I'll investigate and confirm.

    Best wishes

    Steve
