  • also get some sort of bespoke error
  • Hi Roger,

Yes you need 1.8. Did it work previously? What error messages are you getting? Is the Detective button enabled?

  • Yes it worked previously, only seem like it would completely stop on its own, and have to restart and change everything to device 0..i tried deleting everything and downloaded your latest drivers/software.. Now I can get past a warning screen that says "Unable to load Bespoke Events, hex 0x00 is invalid character. Line 1.Take A copy of your file settings. A have tried everything I know including switching USB locations. Do I only need the 1.8 download? Do need to ANYTHING else? I am sorry to trouble you. It has to be something I am doing wrong. Very frustrating, I do love your product BTW! No the dective is not on, I do have all green dots, but all red Xs.. Restart does not repair.. seems like the more I try to get it fixed the worse it gets!
  • Do you have a email I can pics to? I am unable to send them on this site for some reason? Thx
  • It sounds like your settings file is corrupt. Try renaming My Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool or restore those files from a backup.

  • Thanks... I will try to figure out how to do that.. I might have deleted any back up files?
  • I simply can not find that file, any suggestions please?
  • ok ..I think I have my GF-SECM and GF-LGT2 and GF-P8(but no lights) working as should be and my GF166A seems to work on plane panel but can not get lights to come on to my 166A or GF 45..any suggestions please...thx
  • Steve, Just a update to see what you think? I was unable to locate the file in Documents,I deleted all I could find for GIT and downloaded and installed your GIT, 1.8 version. That appeared to take care of the Bespoke error. But still unable to get display lights to work on ALL of my modules, with the exception of the gear lights on my GF- LGT2.I decided to try to isolate the issue.I went thru modules one by one.The following all seem to work with exception of all display lights.Display lights will not come on, but do cycle when I boot up computer.Current staus:GF-SECM=works,GF-TPM=works,LGT2=works,ATC=not sure,(I know you do include it as of yet),GF-P8=works,GF-45=(NOT SURE),GF=166A.Again,these all work but unable get display lights. I am currently working on the 166A, I decided to use the buttons that give me the default MSFS settings, it works on cockpit panel but no matter what I put into Light/Disp Data,Light Action, and LIght Value, I can not get any display lights to come on.Any thoughts please?...I also just installed a Saitek Yoke, using MFG Crosswind pedals and TrackIR5, I use two USB 3.0 powered hubs. Have a new Windows 10 pc using a I7 processor..Using X-Plane 11...Thank you for any advice..Roger
  • Hi Roger,

There is a known issue with LED's and the GoFlight gear from Windows 8 upwards. The GoFlight drivers run a program called Windows8Fixer.cmd during setup which should resolve the issue, but on some PC's it doesn't work. Run this program as Administrator and test the lights. If they still do not work, unplug the devices concerned, run the program again, plug back in the devices one at a time and test. Repeat as necessary until the LED's work.

  • will try..thx steve
  • Steve,I owe you a apology, I was ignorant in how one checks the replys, I just figured out this morning how to get notifications, sorry for the multiple messages. But WOW! You are good!! The Windows8fixer did the trick! I can not tell you how many hours I spend on this beating my head on my desk!:) It was sooo easy once I read your reply it pains me! Thanks again!! Be safe. Roger
  • No problem. Glad its working now.

  • Thank you so Much Steve, it worked perfectly only needed to update this once.
  • Where can i find this file? Windows8Fixer.cmd ?????? Im running windows 10 now and have no lights working.. I have tried to rename folder but then the GFI would not connect to FS.
  • Download the GoFlight drivers from GoFlights website here https://goflightinc.com/latest-software/

The Windows8Fixer.cmd is part of their drivers. You won't need the driver software after this if you only run X-Plane.

In relation to the directory, it must be My Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool that is renamed. Do not rename anything in Program Files (x86) or ProgramData.

Ok so i have down loaded new GF software. And switches are working just no lights. I have tried to rename the GFI folder in Documents as instructed, but when i start the gfi program middle light stays yellow and nothing works as it will not connect to P3D.. Running window 10 and P3d 3.4 .
I have no idea how to fix this as instructed.. Steve I need your help once again

  • Also, when you run GoFlights GFConfig program and you select a device, do the LED's come on?
  • Yes lights come on when running GF. I also did select P3D. still no worky... Also when i rename the GFI folder it no longer will connect to the FS.. I get a yellow light.

  • Is the Detective button enabled and working?
  • yes it is... if i dont rename the GFI folder , all buttons and switches work but with no LEDs working wp6 is not working either but the buttons do, and the lights shown on the GFI window shows Green /Green/Green. Now if i go change and rename GFI folder in my documents no buttons or light work and the GFI window shows Green\Yellow|Green and nothing works. GFI does have a check mark on Enable for pmdg /Prepar 3d, I have down loaded new drivers from GF.
  • Check you are running the very latest version of the PMDG aircraft. GIT only works with the latest versions. If you do have the latest version, uninstalling and reinstalling the PMDG aircraft normally fixes the problem (remember to deactivate the licence in the FMC of the aircraft concerned).

yes i am running all updated products.. All worked fine using window 7 now i have up graded to windows 10 and just did a whole new install.. This was the same problem you helped me with window 7 version.. I know its has to do with renaming folder. but im not a computer guy and and for that reason i may be doing something wrong. Like i said when i rename my documents /GFI tool and start up the GFI tool Program it wont connect to P3D...
  • If you are trying it with PMDG aircraft have you gone through the checks in the FAQ entry called "My MCP PRO or MCP Advanced is not updating its display (just showing zeroes)" here: https://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/16-installation/70-faq-goflight-interface-tool.html

  • The only things this can be are:

    - Windows 10 issue, but you say that the LED's work in GFConfig so that is OK.
    - The 4 things in the FAQ entry "My MCP PRO or MCP Advanced is not updating its display (just showing zeroes)"
    - Corrupt PMDG install, so it needs uninstalling and reinstalling.

One of the above things always fixes this problem.

  • Steve, i have now uninstalled the Pmdg and reinstalled. Still no working led's.
  • Well I don't know what else to say to you. After a few years of this particular issue, it has always been resolved by one of the solutions I have told you about. I would revisit each solution and make absolutely sure you have completed the necessary steps.
