I have searched all through my computer for the PMDG 737.zip file and have had no success. Do you know where this file is normally located? What if I do not have it?

If that file is for the old GoFlight PMDG Interface, it no longer exists. There may be old copies lurking on the Internet but they will only work with the older versions of the NGX.
You need the GoFlight Interface Tool for NGX support for the latest version.
