Installation of GFIT and GF-Config for P3Dv4
Hello all:
Family is visiting (grandchildren are the ultimate toy!!) and I have not installed all the multitude of updates that have been released for P3Dv4. That will all happen tomorrow.
But I have a couple of questions.
Is it safe to assume that GF-Config 2.28.0 must be installed (and is stable?) for GIT v2.247.3.3 to work in P3Dv4?
And this latest GIT, replaces the old one and is also compatible with v3 (ie not stand alone)?
If so, as before, we first have to uninstall the previous GIT and then install the latest one?
Many regards as always
Roberto

2.28.0 is fine. Latest GIT is really for v4 ONLY but so long as GIT for v3 is installed the v4 of GIT should work with both P3D v3 and v4. The reason being is that the backend DLL's are different for v3 and v4 so both versions of GIT need to be installed into the same directory (they coexist fine so long as you use 2.747.3.3 of GIT for P3D v4).
Don't uninstall previous versions, unless you no longer need to use them.
Best wishes
Steve
Will do all that.
Cheers
