Adding a Plugin Joystick assignment to a GF button?
I currently have every button in my FF777 assigned to GoFlight modules. There is a new plugin called Terrain Radar which works great and this plugin like many allows you in the Advanced Buttons of XPlane to assign functions of the plugin, in this case the on/off to a joystick button. I want to assign it to the unused Terrain button on my GF-EFIS which is where this function should be. Is this possible? I can't seem to get the sim/joystick/joystick_etc etc ........ to show up in Detective.
Alternatively is it possible to have GIT buttons show up in the Advanced button menu of XPlane?
Thanks for any insight,

The only other way would be if the plugin supports key press commands such CTRL+O for example. You could create a Bespoke Event to send the relevant key commands and assign to the Terrain button.
The sim/joystick.... datarefs are filtered out in GIT as GIT's code doesn't support X-Plane joysicks yet. You could probably add these filtered datarefs into the Global sections mentioned above and they will probably work.
You may need to quit and restart GIT if using Globals before they will work.
Best wishes
Steve
I assigned the window on/off of the plugin to a keystroke in the "Keys" menu of Joystick & Equipment in X-Plane and then assigned the Terr button to send that keystroke. My 777 now has a functioning Terrain Radar from the proper button on the EFIS.
Thanks very much for your help,
