WP6 and GF SOFTWARE TOOL problem.what happen !!!!!

I just receive my second WP6 to use them in my cockpit.

But the GF software does not do well, so like the others i go to GF INTERFACE TOOL and there is a problems i have and not found any support to fix this problems.

Firstly i have see there is a recommendation to use the GF INTERFACE TOOL rather than the GF PMDG INTERFACE which is a specific for the pmdg737 ngx. But when i use the GF INTERFACE TOOL the WP6 tap inside the interface was unselectable ( like there is no WP6 connect to the software ) but in the status page on the left side where there are all goflight hardwares shown, in front of the WP6 there is a (1) that mean my WP6 is okay connect and visible. BTW i let this later, i download and install the GF PMDG INTERFACE and the WP6 in the tab was a selectable where i will set my configuration.

I installed and open the GF pmdg interface and found the my WP6 panel, okay click on WP6 tap, the button which i need to test (its the 6th button on the right side of the WP6 panel) and the test was on the master caution function.
here is my configuration inside the WP6 tap & using the 6th button to test :
I select the device ( its number is 0 ), light colour is yellow, button is on/ EVT_MASTER_CAUTION_LIGHT_LEFT, button action is on/off, light data is DATA_WARM_SWITCH_MASTER_CATION_LEFT, light action is on, light value is 0.

The result was when i push the 6th button in WP6 okay there is click function on the master caution button inside the PMDG737 cockpit, BUT there is no light in the WP6 panel when the light on inside the PMDG737 cockpit.

Can anyone help me because i make my googled and searching but it seems no one help me except the GF forums.

Also i change the light value to 1 but still nothing help.

The button okay click when i push it and click okay inside the NGX but no light when the light open on the master caution button inside the NGX.

    Hi,

When using the Goflight Interface Tool, the tabs will only enable when FSX has an aircraft loaded and its displaying its virtual cockpit.

The light value should be 1. When you change light values, you normally have to exit the software and restart it if the device is enabled, so its probably working.

You can remove the Prepar3d warning in the Settings tab, by un-ticking Prepar3d support.

    Best wishes

I remove the prepar3D check and the message not appear again.

I install the GF INTERFACE TOOL anf then let the fsx & aircraft loaded to the VC but still the WP6 in tap not selectable.

So i return to the GF PMDG INTERFACE, i use the previously configuration with light value (1) and restart the software so many times but nothing help

Also i have the yellow light in simcoonect/fsx section.

Really i am in shock right now.

Please help me because i need to complete my cockpit, not see the hardwares in thier boxes.

Be carfull here : the 6th button in my WP6 when click on them it rest the caution light inside the NGX.

The button do its function which is rest the caution when alarming inside the aircraft, but the problem is : why when the caution light on inside the aircraft not be on (alarming) on my WP6.

Again the button click okay and rest the caution inside the NGX, but not give the light like it should when the light caution on inside the NGX.

Lets say this to be understant :

Lets say there is input and output in each of six button's in the WP6.
The input is the clicking of your finger on the button in WP6 to (rest) the caution when it on (alarming) inside the aircraft.

AND , the output is the light on (alarming) in the WP6 when the caution light is on (alarming) inside the aircraft.

So the WP6 do well as input when click (to rest the caution), but don't act as output which i need it to produce the light when it on (alarming) inside the aircraft.

Also is there someone use the GF INTERFACE TOOL with the WP6 except me Before ?
  • edited November -1
Okay okay,,,, i just reinstall the software completly and install it again and the WP6 in tap is SELECTABLE right now.

-The light output problem still occur.
-And the yellow light under simconnact/fsx section still occur.

Note: the input clicking is okay rest the caution inside the aircraft when pushing the 6th button in my WP6.

I have just tested button 6 on the WP6 using the following and it worked when I generated a fault (turned the generator off):

Light Data: DATA_WARN_SWITCH_MASTER_CAUTION_LEFT Light Action: ON Light Value: 1

Note that using the Test switch doesn't always work (this is a bug in the PMDG SDK) and if that is what you are using to test things out it may be misleading you.

    Best wishes

    Hi steve
Can you tell the the meaning of TURNED THE GENERATOR OFF ?
    And how ?
  • edited October 2013

    Hi,

Load a panel state so that the aircraft is ready to taxi. Then go to the overhead panel about a third of the way up to the left just about the EGT dial there is a bank of 4 switches with a heading of BUS TRANS. I just right clicked the first button on the left so the generator went off. This creates a fault that will cause the master caution to display and hopefully trigger your WP6.

    Best wishes

I do every thing you listed, but still the master caution alarming in the aircraft while in the WP6 not alarming, but the click function in the WP6 turn the caution off.
I mean the WP6 (work as input, but not as output).

If i take a more detailed answer and more help (step by step) it may be the problem will dissolved.

    Hi,

Attach your config files here for me to try. If you are using the latest version they will be in My Document\Goflight PMDG Interface.

Also, Have you clicked the "Identify" button and determined that all your wp6 lights actually work?

    Best wishes

OK, this works fine for me. What other Goflight hardware do you have? Also what version of the 737 NGX are you using e.g 900WL? Can you also copy and paste the Log fro the log tab once you have triggered a Master Caution event.

    Thx

    Hi steve
I don't have any another GF hardware except this two WP6.
    I have NGX 600, 700, 800, 900, all of them.

    Note:
    Not clear
What u need to copy ? Give me more explanation ?
  • edited November -1
Also when the fsx start and i decide to use GF INTERFACE TOOL i deactive the GO FLIGHT SOFTWARE which opens automatically in each time fsx opens.
  • edited November -1
And we can change the tested aircraft from NGX to any another aircraft if you want !!!!!
  • edited November -1
Really its strange if it work for you but min not...

    :-(( :-(( X_X
  • edited November -1
Also keep in mind, that the GF SOFTWARE had a Config button's [ each of the 6th button's of the WP6 had its function in GF SOFTWARE which i close it when the fsx opens, when need to using your interface ((GF INTERFACE TOOL)) ].
    Sorry for the prolongation.
  • edited November -1
You have checked you don't have anything assigned to that button in GFConfig?
  • edited November -1
No i have, but now i will remove all of my assignments in the GFConfig....
  • edited November -1
I disable all my assignments in the GFConfig, then i reconfigurate another button in my WP6 (4th button) but the problem not solved !!!!!

Really its a shock to me.

    This error:

    20:57:18 SimConnect: Exception Received:  OUT_OF_BOUNDS

means you haven't added the dll in dll.xml. Details are in the Goflight Interface Tool manual.

Do this and then post the log again.

    Thx
