Simconnect light staying yellow

I am not connecting. The simconnect indicator is remaining yellow. Other two are green. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • Steve-
Still yellow. Also, there is no window for choosing the simulator path on the settings page. Manual said there should be. Or is that an old version?
    I've attached the log file.

  • OK, the out of bounds error means the GoFlight Interface Module.dll is not loading with your flight sim. Can you check the entry is present in dll.xml.
  • Sorry if I am being obtuse, but where do I find the dll.xml file?
  • I found it. I may have messed up the path. I'm uninstalling everything, including GF.cfg and reinstalling clean.
  • When I start FSX I am getting the attached message:
  • Hi,

See the FAQ entry "FSX/P3D/FSX SE Crashes on start up indicating an error with the Goflight Interface Module" here: https://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/16-installation/70-faq-goflight-interface-tool.html

    Best wishes

  • Steve-
There is no line in the registry like the one in the FAQ. The FSX line says "RUNASADMIN HIGHDPIAWARE".

  • Ok, then just click Yes.
  • Now the outer buttons are both blinking red and the middle one is yellow. Very frustrating. This used to work fine and I don't understand what happened to it.
  • It may be a corrupt settings file. Try renaming Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool so GIT starts clean. If still no good, copy and paste the Log tab and tell me what Flight Sim you are using.

    Thx

  • Just redownloaded GIT for FSX with my Windows virus scanner and firewall turned off. Installed same way. Getting same thing... outer buttons flashing red and middle steady yellow. My "Goflight Interface Tool" folder in Documents is empty. That's odd, isn't it?. When I checked the Log, it just kept scrolling down forever with that "duplicate entry" error showing endlessly, and then it all just froze up and I had to close down the program.
  • Since viewing the log causes a freeze up after endless scrolling, I cannot copy it to send it to you.
  • What version of the GoFlight drivers are you running? Did you install GIT into the same directory as the drivers? GIT needs GFDev.dll from the GoFlight drivers.
  • Using latest GoFlight driver... GFcfg v 2.28. Yes, installed into same directory. But I see that GIT installed into a separate folder in the GF directory. Is that supposed to be the case? So, my directory structure looks like: "D:/GoFlight/GoFlight/GoFlight Interface Module.dll". This is the path that is shown in the dll.xml file.
  • No, that's probably half the issue it should be installed in the same folder as the drivers e.g. "D:/GoFlight/GoFlight Interface Module.dll"
  • I took all the files from the "GoFlight" sub folder and put them directly into the main GoFlight folder. Now I am getting that message at boot up of FSX, the one I sent a copy of to you before, that says there is a problem with the GIT and asks me whether I want to run the program. (See past messages for attachment of that screen). I clicked on "Yes", to run the program anyway. Now I finally have three green lights.
