  • What name is it using? Where is it finding that information?
  • OK, I found the problem. Zibo has renamed the ACF file from b738 to B738 and GIT is obviously case sensitive. I renamed it back to b738 and now everything works again. I will inform Zibo what happened and request he changes it back for future releases.

Well done Rogjack, you have saved a lot of people some hard searching and made a lot of people happy. I have updated the .org forum that we were both conversing on.. Again "Thank you" ... James
  • I have placed a message on the forum which is gradually moving down the list. Sadly few people seem to read the forum. I expect the question will be asked again.
  • I'm wondering if that is the problem? With 3_30 I get absolutely nothing showing up in GIT, including bespoke events I made or the downloaded proifiles. It is as if the aircraft isn't detected at all. How do we change the aircraft name to match 3_29e?
  • It isn't being detected, that's the problem. Go into the Zibo aircraft folder and rename the B738.acf to b738.acf and it will work unless you have altered something else.
  • Perfect thanks! Back in business!!
  • My goodness, what a solution. Thank you for the golden hint.
  • I wonder if we go into planemaker and change the aircraft code back to lowercase b738 if that will help.. not even sure if it is capitalized in 3.30 acf or not - looking forward to testing once I get back into the pit
  • Zibo is aware of the problem and says that the file was not intended to be changed, it will be fixed for the next release. I wouldn't change anything. It's not necessary.
  • I just updated to Zibo's 3.30e version. Now none of my modules do anything. GIT detects the aircraft, but all modules; MCP/EFIS/GF-166 are blank or do nothingand are disabled.
  • 3.30e is working OK, no longer necessary to rename the ACF file, Zibo has fixed. 3.30e is a hotfix and must be merged, easy to make a mistake. Suggest reinstall aircraft. GIT is no longer a problem.
  • When I loaded 3.30e my IAS rotary knob was not working and the IAS showed 0 - after I renamed the plane in planemaker and changed the acf to lowercase b738.acf - IAS is working now for me. So again for me 3.30e still did not work without the above change
  • 3.30e is a hotfix, an incremental update. It includes a new b738.acf so renaming is no longer necessary. Perhaps your merge did not work. Snapshot shows contents of 3.30e zip file.
  • There's no need to edit files in Planemaker, a straight directory rename is enough.

    Yahoo!! Issue resolved.
I deleted the complete B737-800X folder from X-plane as well as the downloaded zip files. Downloaded new zip files for 3.30b c d and e.

Extracted 3.30b and renamed the folder to 737-800X. Then I extracted and merged each fix one at a time.

What I noticed was that when merging the 3.30e fix, it would keep the capital B738.acf file, instead of the lower case b738.acf included in the 3.30e fix. So I deleted the B738.acf from the B373-800X folder and merged 3.30e fix again.

Now all my panels are working as before again.

I am a happy camper, as I would not know what I would do without my working panels.

Thanks to everyone for their input and support.
