  • Hi,

Thank you for your answer. Sorry, I forgot to mention, I'm using the Zibo 3.49.12 with X-Plane 11.

  • Hi,

I was able to fix my COM1 using other Light/Disp Data:

    sim/cockpit2/radios/actuators/com1_frequency_hz_833
    sim/cockpit2/radios/actuators/com1_standby_frequency_hz_833

These two make the rotary input correct.

However, this doesn't seem to work for the COM2 with these data:

    sim/cockpit2/radios/actuators/com2_frequency_hz_833
    sim/cockpit2/radios/actuators/com2_standby_frequency_hz_833

It's no issue for me since I hardly ever use the COM2, but I thought I'd notify you about this.

    Regards,

    SebDev

Sir, would it be possible, to send me the link you have sent to Bulva in April 2020 and that obviously has solved his problem? I have the very same problem with one of my GF166 and the frequency 8.33 kHz - comma issue (using FSX and PMDG B737NG)

Its included in the latest GIT release from your account. You just need to configure the GIT GF166 tab as discussed in this thread.

    Best wishes

  • I tried Steve, but I cannot find the Light/Disp Data in the dropdown menue "sim/cockpit2/radios/actuators/com1_standby_f" , that "Bulva" had chosen and showed here (which seems to be incomplete).

Can you please send me the full line to be picked up in the dropdown menue? And please remember, I am using FSX-SE.
    Thanks in advance.
  • Ok, what you are attempting to use is for X-Plane.

In FSX/SE, you can use the Display Action DIVIDE_AS_DECIMAL_3_DECIMAL_PLACES but the only variables available are COM ACTIVE FREQUENCY:index and COM STANDBY FREQUENCY:index unless there are aircraft specific lvars that you can find.

The variables above are being downloaded to GIT in MHz values so I'm not sure if they are restricted to 2 decimal places regardless.

    Best wishes

I am sorry, I don't know, what is meant with the highlighted words. Anyway, the proposed use of DIVIDE_AS_DECIMAL_3_DECIMAL_PLACES leads to nothing. The GIT cannot manage frequencies with three digits behind the comma.

I think, very soon a bunch of FSX-using people will ask you for help just as I did. VATSIM today started the 8.33 kHz system network wide.
  • I have just double checked the variable COM_STANDBY_FREQUENCY:1 and it does contain all the decimal places needed. You just need to use the COM variables with the Display Action of DIVIDE_AS_DECIMAL_3_DECIMAL_PLACES

  • From GIT X-Plane version 3.0.3.0, the COM function on the GF166 tab will configure the GF166 to use 3 decimal places for Com frequencies.

    Best wishes

  • Steve,

Great job on the 3 decimal update for the GF166. One time click on the COM button, hit OK on the pop-up and we have 3 digit COM frequencies without loosing the currently active profile.

So far only made the transition for the ZiboMod B738X, but it was a breeze. Now I can update my other airplanes without any worries.
