Engravity MSFS 2020 set up

I am trying to get Engravity set up for MSFS 2020. I have GIT for MSFS 2020 and that works great. My Engravity CDU is using Com Port 6, but that is not an option In the interface tool. The interface tool has Com 3, CDU 0, Com4 CDU 1, Com 5 CDU 2. Com 3 seems correct except that it is titled CDU 0, but also says Position Left and CDU 737 ( which is what I want). Com 3 however is being used for something else for my sim. Any suggestions on how to get it to work properly would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Rob

  • Hi Rob,
you can modify the COM Port of the virtual Adapter in the device management. Attach the Engravity CDU to your PC and open the device manager (open devmgmt.msc) - open the silicon labs adapter and chose settings -> and there the "advanced ..." Button. The following dialog allows at the bottom the setting of the com port number. (Sorry the names may be inacurate because at the moment I have no english Win 11 version at hands).
    Good luck

  • Hi Martin,

Thank you. I just figured it out this morning and it is working fine.

My next problem is I get an error message if I open GIT MSFS 2020, after opening up Engravity MSFS 2020. There was a post on this in Feb 2024, but I do not understand the response. Perhaps you can give more direct instructions on how to get both working at the same time. In my old system with P3DV4 I had both working. I look forward to hearing from you.

  • Hi Rob,
I just setup my new system with FS2024 and was on P3Dv4 until 3 weeks ago. What does GIT stand for? Do you have the link, to the other forum post you mentioned, probably we can figure it out together.
    Greetings
    Martin
  • What was the error message?
  • GIT stands for Go Flight Interface Tool. That is the software you purchase from Pollypott to run all your Goflight modules. Right now it works perfectly as a stand alone. The same for the Engravity software for the CDU. However if you try and use both at the same time, the system does not let you.
