NAV Radio control on PMDG777 in P3Dv5

Hi Steve. When flying the PMDG777 their software appears to have control of the NAV 1/2 radios. I cannot change a frequency using the GF166.

Is there any way around this? The PMDG737 Nav radios are fine.

    Have you tried clicking the NAV button on the GF166 tab with the 777 loaded? I recall that PMDG aircraft worked with the standard Simconnect events.

    Anything you have configured on the GF166 device selected will be changed but only for the 777. Make sure you have the GF166 device number you want to change selected.

    All I have in PMDG.xml for the 777 are some T8 and P8 actions. The 166 section is clear.

    Can I also perform the same thing for the COM radios. At present I need to click a button on the COM section in the 777 to get the 166 to work correctly.

    Yes. The COM, NAV & ADF buttons configure the currently selected GF166 device to use standard Simconnect events and variables for the currently loaded aircraft. The GF166 configuration will be saved - you will only need to do it once, unless you want to change what the GF166 does.

    Thanks Steve. Do I take it that doing this stops the PMDG logic automatically selecting the nearest VOR station plus the ILS frequency for the landing runway?

    I don't think so. GIT will just send requests, the PMDG logic decides what to do with those requests.
