  • Thank you for updating the GIT. I uninstalled P3D v3 just before installing v4 and I've missed the GIT functionality in the 747 and today with the T7's release. Hopefully LM will release the hotfix soon because once the 737NGX is released I'll really be getting busy.

P3D v4 is truly amazing and it's rekindled my passion for flight sim.
  • I have just updated GIT P3D v4 to enable the automatic addition of the needed settings in the PMDG options file. Available in downloads for P3Dv4 Beta testers.

Confirmed the newly updated PMDG 777 is working in GIT P3D v4.

    Best wishes

  • Great!!
    Thank you
  • Thanks Steve, all GIT functionality seems to be working very well. Tested with 777 and 747. Only downside is that I can't use ASP4 as it's tied to Prepar3d.exe version ... will have to wait for update from HiFi.

Squeeze in a quick request, could you add a feature that would make it easy to change device # mapping? For whatever reason, be it plugging into a different USB hub/card or OS updates, sometimes my Devices will map to a different number, example my 4 T8's, the device number may change so that what used to be Device 0 is now Device 2 and Device 1 is now Device 3, etc. leaving my labels no longer matching up.

I can manually edit the files, but that gets tedious and can be error prone.

But thanks again for this update, my GF gears is useful again!

    Cheers, Rob.
  • @robains just curious if you have it working now with the version of P3D v4 before the patch? Or are you also running the beta with the hotfix the rest of us are waiting for?
  • No, HF1 is required (see Steve's info above). The HF1 fix LM implemented was the reason why Steve could make GIT work. There has been a level of urgency expressed by some 3rd party content providers for HF1 release, so I would expect it sometime this month (June) but that could change.
  • Hi Rob,

Yes I will add that. The GoFlight SDK switches the device numbers around for some reason.

    Best wishes

  • Much appreciated Steve! Will save me a bunch of time and remove potential for human error since I have so many GF modules.

    Cheers, Rob.
