Instability problems between FSUIPC and GF Interface or PMDG ?

Hello,
Under FSX WIN7, I use a GF rudder RC, a module GF166 and a module GF TQ6 and have been monitored so far without problem with the drivers Goflight and FSUIPC. I recently bought a GF46 module and the MCP Pro, which I expect will be delivered next week. So I have installed your latest drivers and bought and installed the interface software Pollysoftware. No problem installing, the module and the joystick loads on Goflight config and the three LEDs are green on the interface .... except that after a few minutes flight there is nothing going on mainly about the TQ6 and The settings on FSUIPC change oddly, it seems that there is a conflict with GFinterface.
Thank you for your help Jean Pierre.

  • Hello, while waiting for a response to my request, I removed all the FSUIPC settings concerning the TQ6 and declared the axes in GFIT without being able to make other adjustments, the details key being grayed out.
ENG1 and ENG2 and their reverse seem to work, but Spoilers and Flaps are inactive. I attach a file found in GFIT directory concerning the PMDG. Looking forward to reading you.

  • Hi Jean,

You cannot have FSUIPC and GIT "driving" the same joystick type devices simultaneously. Both programs work fine together, but if you configure the TQ6 in FSUIPC, you must disable the TQ6 in GIT (and vice versa) otherwise you will get very strange behaviour. Only one program should "drive" one device simultaneously.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Oh Yes Steve, I already do that but spoilers and flats doesn't work. I gave you some attached files are they useful for you?
    Regards
  • No Steve because in fact on GFIT I do not have access to this menu ... or I do not know to find it!
  • You click the button Configure Axes on the TQ6 tab when the aircraft is loaded up and showing its virtual cockpit.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Yes Steve I do this but can not access the specified boxes because they are grayed out
  • You must have the aircraft showing its Virtual Cockpit before it will become enabled. If you still cannot see it, try a default aircraft in VC mode. If the default aircraft is doing the same and the Detective button is greyed out as well, then the GoFlight Interface Module.dll is not running or you are using the wrong version of GIT (do not use GIT FSX-SE or GIT P3D).

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • The detective key is not gray with a generic plane, but the rest with the PMDG
  • OK, I'll take a look later on today and come back to you.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Ok Steve in the meantime I will install the latest version of the 737 PMDG which is compatible with FSX steam, may be useful for the proper functioning of GFIT, what do you think?
    See you later
  • You do need the very latest version of the NGX for GIT to work properly. If you do not have the latest in FSX this is likely the source of the problem.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • I loaded the latest version of the 737 PMDG but nothing changes
  • OK, I think the step you are missing is selecting the device in the drop down list (Device 0) - this will trigger the button to be enabled.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • ok, Steve maybe, but where is this drop list, because on FGIT all button are greyed
  • ok Steve forget my previous message I try again and apparently its works! I will try to configurate and I will keep you informed
  • Next to the red X button on the GIT TQ6 tab.
  • Thank you Steve, I found it, on my tab the X button is not red and the device button is grey and when i push it its becomes blue..Note that this key only works for a long time after opening GFIT.
As I told you in my previous message I configure and look if everything works well.
I have just received my MCpPRO which although it has been declared in GF and GFIT remains off after being turned on once.
Is there a particular procedure also to follow?
    Thank you
    Jean Pierre
  • For PMDG aircraft it configures itself once enabled in GIT. If the switches and rotaries work but all you get is zeros on the display you need to see the FAQ entry "My MCP PRO or MCP Advanced is not updating its display (just showing zeroes)" here: http://localhost/joomla2/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/16-installation/70-faq-goflight-interface-tool.html

Also make sure you have followed these instructions: http://localhost/joomla2/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/16-installation/14-installation.html

  • Thanks Steve for your answer
Impossible to connect on the two links you gave me.
My MCP is recognized and well declared in GF as addon. When I open GFIT the MCP is still disabled on the window although I declared it yesterday.
In fact when I open FSX the MCP only lights up one dash per digit.
When I start GFIT and before the three green LEDs are all on, the displays are zero and then turn off completely.
If I click on retsart everything goes to zero then everything goes out.
I have a similar concern with the GF46 one of which is left on.
I go through the FAQ but have not found any reprimand about me ... then your help is welcome. Thanks JP
  • Sorry these are the links: https://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/16-installation/70-faq-goflight-interface-tool.html. You need to follow the steps listed under "My MCP PRO or MCP Advanced is not updating its display (just showing zeroes)"

You must also install GIT using these instructions: https://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/16-installation/14-installation.html

  • I have read and verified the points cited ... nothing found that can advance my problem ... The MCP works with generic plane but not with the PMDG which is nevertheless of last generation, downloaded at the beginning of this month, the file SDK is ok....
The GF and GFIT are in the same directory and have installed themselves without worry ... even if the windows always show disabled peripherals ..
    What more can I do?

  • Have you setup a profile in GF Config that you use when running GIT so that the MCP PRO is set to compatible add-on?
  • If the displays are going blank, then something is doing that. Try quitting the GoFlight DataBridge (blue icon with an aircraft on it in the notification area of the taskbar once FSX has started). Then start GIT. At the very least the displays should remain as zero.

    Thx
    Steve
  • All devices went out
  • I presume you mean the display went blank? If so, I want you to load up the default Beech Baron, get to the VC and then start GIT - the MCP PRO should show dashes on the displays if you have set GFConfig correctly - if not that's problem number 1 to resolve!

Assuming all OK at this point, on the MCP PRO tab, select Device 0, click the FS Default button and then enable the MCP PRO in GIT. Turn the heading rotary and see if the heading display works correctly.
  • I meant that all my peripherals GF166, GF 46 and MCP went out, no longer lights up or works.
I did that with the 737 generic fs aircraft and the MCP worked, is should be different with Baron?
