X Plane 11 crash when clicking "Monitoring Toggle" with A320NEO Jardesign

Hi,

Everything works on GF-45 until i want to program the buttons via Detective. When i click on "Monitoring Toggle", X plane 11 crashes.

When i start up X plane and try it again i get a crash with GIT (see screenshot).

Info: GIT 2.0.2.0.2 Xplane 11.05 64 bit, W7 Ult, GF-45, GF-P8

Regards,

Andre

  • Download and use GIT version 2.0.3.0.

    Thx

  • Hi Steve,

I tested it and had X Plane crash with Baron too when i try to use the directive. Even now with version 2.0.0.0. When i click on the Monitoring button, X plane crashed.

    Will try now with 2.0.3.0.
  • Same problem with version 2.0.3.0, X plane 11 crashed
  • With every version, when i hit the monotoring button, X plane crashed. What i saw in the log is with the start of GIT it says "GIP: Pipe Connect Failed"

    Deinstalling GIT now
  • I have tried to re-create your problem but it works fine for me. It may be a corrupt settings file, can you rename Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool and see if it works OK after that.

You must use 2.0.3.0 of GIT as it fixes a Detective crash issue.

    Best wishes
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

Ah didn't think of it. I only deleted the plugin & Program. Will delete that one too and let you know!

So will do a clean install of 2.0.3.0 with settings file removed.

    Kind Regards,

    Andre

  • Hi Steve,

Tested with clean install on 2.0.3.0 and crashed again. Any logs that i can look into?

    Kind Regards,

    Andre
  • Will install X-plane 11 fresh and test again. Maybe it corrupted my X plane 11 install

    Keep you posted!

    Hi Steve,

    Some results.

    1. Installed fresh X plane 11 with clean GIT 2.0.3.0 install [That works]
    2. With fresh XP11 install and GIT 2.0.3.0 install. Restored ../Output/preferences folder [XP11 crashed again]
    3. Restored the NEW preferences (clean version) back [That works]
    4. Copied the old X-Plane.prf to the preferences folder [XP11 crashed]
    5. While running GIT and restart XP11. Then click on monitoring [GIT Application Halted]
    6. Left XP11 running, started GIT again [Works fine, monitoring working]
    7. Left XP11 running. Copied the saved ../My Documents/Goflight Interface Tool folder back. Restart GIT [Works fine, monitoring working]

Gonna test some more and see if the Xplane.prf file has some major diff.

By the way, does the startup sequence makes a difference? (XP11 or GIT first?)

    Keep you posted.

    Hi Steve,

I just made a spreadsheet with indicates differences between xplane.prf which cause the crashes. I ONLY put the differences and left out the settings which are the same.

Working = Normal xplane.prf that i had when it worked

New Build = xplane.prf deleted before XP11 start. Settings from XP11 program run/close with GIT (which works)

Failed = With this xplane.prf file XP11 crashes when using GIT

Question to you, do you see setting within the difference that are influenced by GIT?

    Thanks!
  • I cannot see anything. Its X-Plane that is crashing, not GIT. It must be something in the aircraft and the pref's when a Dataref is accessed.

    Besst wishes
    Steve
  • Thanks. Yes think so too, will use now a clean xplane.prf file. Hopes this helps. With the crash of XP11, a dump file has been sent to support

    Thanks for the support ;-)
  • One final question: what do start first? XP11 or GIT. or doesn't make it a diff.
  • Shouldn't make any difference.
