  • I tried the new GIT version and the Zibo. Working great! A few bugs but all in all I am very pleased. Thank you both.
  • 5 minute showing a landing...
  • I have tracked down and fixed the "blow up" issue when using X-Plane menus. New version should be out tomorrow.

    Best wishes

  • Can someone remind me the last stable zibo version that works with this profile? I seem to be having an issue with my heading knob but it may be related to newer zibo mod and or PB5 or PB8 of X-Plane. I want to revert to the sim and zibo mod version where this profile works. Thanks.
  • Disregard.. updating to the latest GIT solved all my problems! Happy happy
  • For everyones reference... ZIbo 3.22c and GIT 2.09 and todays Zibo Profile available here... works 95% - very happy.. V/S button did not work but everything else did so far in my initial testing.. Thank you!
  • Well, Zibo updated his B737Mod to version 3.23.
Had a quick look at David's most recent config (In the "Downloads" section) in combination with the GIT 2.011, and all looks fine.
Will do a test flight tomorrow.
  • Hello. I have a little question how released function in the EFIS panel BARO change between IN to HPA?
  • Hi,
The GoFlight hardware has a limitation in that, unlike the real EFIS/MCP, it does not have dual rotaries for the minimums, Baro and bank angle. When I first built the profile it was not possible to mimic two rotaries on the one physical rotary.
Your question got me interested in the changes that Steve has implemented. There are now different events that can be triggered for rotaries whether you're pushing the rotary or not when turning simultaneously.
Zibo has provided commands that can be attached to the PushedClockwise and PushedAnticlockwise events. The downside is that the push event is triggered first before the other two events are triggered so for the Baro rotary when you push it will change to STD and turning will change it from IN to HPA and back. If you let go and do it again the Baro will change to the number when pressed and then IN to HPA and back when rotated.
(In the Zibo mod you can set the default Baro setting in the Aircraft configuration).
I don't think the settings will help in this case trying to block the initial push as they apply across all of the devices.

I've uploaded my latest EFIS and MCP-PRO xml files. Download and import into GIT and see what you think.

  • Thank you very much. It's working great.
  • Hi, David,

today I downloaded Zibos v3.30 and the IAS and EFIS Range Selector don't work.

Could you have a look at this?

    Thanks,
    Martin

I noticed also that the EFIS range and mode selector are not working with 3.30. IAS is working under some conditions, on landing for instance but I was unable to select it for takeoff. I have posted on Zibo's thread on X-Plane to ask if the datarefs have changed.
  • Zibo says he has not changed the datarefs.
  • Strange, I changed back to 3.29e. With this version all is working without problems.
  • I found the same, 3.29e works 3.30 doesn't. You can see the interface light flashing when the dials are turned so it receives a signal but it doesn't look like the right one.
  • Hi,
I'm just downloading Zibo 3.30b now. I'll give it a try tonight and have a look at the issues you've raised.

    David
  • All my goflight equipment stopped working in 3_30b. Went back to 3_29e and works fine. Hmmm any ideas?
  • Downloaded and installed Zibo 3.30b, started X-plane 11.26 and GIT 2.0.14.1. Flew KATL to KMIA and everything worked perfectly. Had no problems with the IAS rotary or the EFIS rotaries.

    David
  • I reinstalled GIT 2.0.14.1 after removing all of the dependencies in the system and the result was the same. It works in 3.29e but not in 3.30b. Following up on X-Plane forum Zibo thread.
  • I testet 3.30b but have also the same problem. IAS shows zero and don't work. EFIS Range selector don't work.

Which DREDataRefs.txt and Commands.txt are you using, David?
  • I use bespoke events to manage the IAS and range selector, among other events. If you go into detective you should see the events. There should be about 22 of them. The XML is contained in the b738 file in your ..\Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool directory.

    David
  • Same here 3.29 works. 3.30 does not. I see your xml file and attempted to import using the detective but it did not work, not sure if I am importing correctly or not. In Summary, IAS shows 0 and will not move, all other functions appear to work but have not tested fully. For what it is worth I did a fresh install of GIT and that helped me get to this point
  • Thanks JonFly. Can you tell me what the error message is when you try and import the bespoke events?
Do you have any bespoke events in showing in Detective? If you do, press the big red X and get rid of them first, then press the import icon (next to the big red X) and select the XML to import the bespoke events. Let me know if there are any errors.

    David
  • Here is a screenshot http://prntscr.com/kvvctu

I am clicking the import icon then choosing your b738_gfmcpro-0.xml file and then after choosing that it does not show any bespoke events
  • The file that you need to import in Detective is called b738.xml. It's in the ...\Document\GoFlight Interface Tool directory. This file contains my bespoke events that are then used within the GF devices. Once that's done, close Detective and go to each device tab and import the device specific XML.

  • This is what Zibo told me and Rogjack:

"I don't know what is isuue. I didn't touch code/datarefs for EFIS and IAS.

Code and datarefs are the same in all releases 3.29 and 3.30 (for EFIS/IAS).

    "
  • The culprit may be in a different file that is affecting the GIT file. Will make a search of other file changes.
  • I've compared files in the GIT directory between v329 and v330 and cannot find any differences. If I load the director there are differences but I don't really understand what they mean. With 3.29 the lower window is populated with 3.30 it's empty. In the control panel window the aircraft name changes from b738 to B738 while there has been no change of profile. See attached snapshots.
  • GIT uses the name to load the correct settings for the aircraft. If the name has changed it won't find any settings.

    Best wishes
    Steve
