I can open log before I start FSX SE. I see Simconnect/Winsock connecting...then I start FSX SE/PMDG : GIT freezes.Mouse clicks do nothing.
SimConnect FSX is Green but Aircraft is showing Red

Thanks for any help.

    Yes, I do have the MESM...I'll check to see if it is connected.

    Not able to get to the sim for awhile:
    I remember that GoFlight had a problem with their MESM sometime back and had to initiate a fix.

    Try it without the MESM as I have another customer where GIT locks up with the MESM, although I cannot recreate the problem yet.

    MESM unconnected made no difference. The interface tabs are all ghosted/frozen.

    I have just checked and its OK my end. If there are problems with Winsock it can take a while before it times out, so leave it for a minute at least. If still no good try renaming Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool and see if that helps. Also try it with a default aircraft and let me know if it still locks up.

    Steve, the GIT works with default FSX . Used the 737-800. Restarted the sim, but still a no-go with PMDG. It does show SimCon connected...but Red light under Aircraft Mode: NGX pmdg.

    I may try reinstall of PMDG.

    Same problem after reinstalling PMDG...reinstall new version GIT. I even reinstalled the older version of GIT but nothing.

    It does work in default FSX aircraft.

    Did the FAQ. Reinstalled GIT for FSX SE again. Same problems. Do I need a registration reset ? I haven't been asked for my existing KEY during all of these multiple downloads.

    Again, right before I open the FSX SE and load PMDGX, the lights are all green on the tabs of the GIT. When I load up a flight..GIT freezes. The Status is Grey and SimConn is Green and Aircraft (Mode NGX, etc) is Red.

    If the old version of GIT is doing the same thing and that previously worked, then it indicates corrupt GIT settings file or something wrong in FSX. Perhaps a reinstall of the NGX would solve the problem.

    Steve, I fixed the problem by entering PMDG 737 in the Aircraft Short Name window under the SIT settings. Whew. This was lengthy, but looking at the Log and the GIT Status, I couldn't see the 737 loaded. Thanks for your help.

    ...and I renamed the Document/GIT folder--maybe that was it. Will check in couple of days.
