Problem with T8 switch and PMDG 737 Battery

I'm trying to program a GoFlight T8 switch to operate the master battery on the PMDG737-800. I have got as far as it toggling the battery on/off but the LED remains on for both actions. I would have expected it to go off when the battery is switched off.

I hope the attached screenshot will help. I'm not sure if I need to program a separate action for the OFF status but having tried it it didn't work. The Toggle option seems to work but not for the light.

That variable is a standard simconnect variable. NGX variables have DATA_ in front of them. Try using DATA_FWDOH_ELEC_SWITCH_BAT

Steve, I had a look at your help section and it clearly states all PMDG NGX actions should be preceded with EVT_.

I'm confused. I'm using the 64-bit GIT version just in case that makes a difference. v3.6.5.3

Okay Steve, the penny has dropped. You were referring to the Light Data dropdown. That wasn't obvious. Also, an example in the help would have saved me a couple of hours of frustration.

I had read those Steve but I think my mistake was typing “battery” into the search box. That did not find the entry you referred to in an earlier reply. “bat” would have done. I live and learn.

Is it possible to execute two commands on a single switch? In the case of the battery switch it would be useful to be able to program the cover guard too. That is currently handled via a button command in FSUIPC.

Hi Steve, I know absolutely nothing about LUA so that will have to wait. Maybe you could look at multiple commands per switch in a future version. Saves everyone having to learn LUA. ;-)

Steve, just for info. I've got around the problem of trying to assign multiple commands to a single switch. Take Deice for example. I assign the command for a single Deice switch and light via GIT and for the remaining switches I use FSUIPC Button commands in conjunction with the PMDG SDK for the same switch.

That way the LED always illuminates and all actions are performed for on and off. Job done!
