Battery Light extinguishes when P/B operated.

I have a T8 unit on which I have assigned OHD BAT SWITCH to a switch. I can switch it on and off and the LED indicates correctly. However, if I operate the P/Brake via another switch on the same module the Battery LED goes off and does not return even after changing the status of the P/B. What is causing this? The P/B is programmed via the GoFlight interface, not GIT.

  • Does the VC change the state of the Battery Switch when you use the PB? If not, I would check nothing is assigned to the PB switch in FSUIPC, LINDA or the flight sim.

No, operating the P/Brake in the VC doesn't affect the LEDs. Just physically flicking the GoFlight T8 swich.

I removed that command from the GFConfig program and tried to assign the brake via GIT. But I cannot get it to operate both on and off. It will engage the brake but not disengage it. I consider myself reasonably intelligent but cannot even get it to perform a simple command. See attached screenshot for my settings. Please advise what I'm doing wrong. This is with a different aircraft - Xtreme Solutions Learjet 25 that uses the standard parking brake command.

  • Hi Ray,

With the NGX use EVT_CONTROL_STAND_PARK_BRAKE_LEVER with a Switch Action of MOUSELEFT_WITH_OFF

Light Data is DATA_CTLSTD_LIGHT_PARKING_BRAKE with ON and a value of 1.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Thanks Steve, that worked. It's also stopped the LEDs for other commands on the same T8 being extinguished.
