PMDG B747 QOTSII no connection

I can connect to the PMDG 777 and 737 but the 747 QOTSII is blacked out. It says on the site it connects right away. Any ideas?

    You need to go through the FAQ entry for this. If no joy, try uninstalling and reinstalling the 747 making sure nothing is left behind after the uninstall. You can also try using the 32bit or 64bit version of GIT.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the B747. Same issue. Reviewed the FAQ and tried things where it applied but nothing. What do you mean 32 or 64, I just downloaded the latest out of my account?

    Complete uninstall / install of Go flight and GIT, B737 and B777 still work B747 black lcd and fsuipc error but does connect. Log below: I also tried the other 32 bits and they just hang....

    I had no trouble before I reinstalled to 4.5 plus HF. Sucks not to be able to get the 747-800...

    There are two versions of GIT for P3Dv4 (32 bit or 64 bit). I suspect you are suffering from a bug I have seen with several other people's systems where the PMDG SDK or Simconnect ignores GIT's requests for information. It only appeared after P3Dv4 came out and the fix is normally a reinstall of everything or a complete rebuild.

    When you reinstall, which apps are talking about? I have uninstalled / reinstalled QOTII, GIT, GF, multiple times but no luck. The 32bit seems to hang every-time.

    Your flight sim and sometimes even Windows, however its interesting that the reinstall actually triggered this issue. Did you uninstall everything or just reinstall over the top?

    There is little I can do about it because having reviewed the Simconnect logs with a previous customer with the same problem with the NGX, GIT was doing everything right but either the PMDG SDK or Simconnect did not respond to GIT. I suspect its a bug in 64bit Simconnect which appears in certain situations, but why it is only impacting on the 747 and not the others is very odd. It could also be a clash with an addon.

    Since it was working before, can you list everything you did and in what order so we can try to determine the cause.

    You must also make sure you have the latest version of the 747 installed, it wont work with older ones.

    Yea, I will go back and make a list. It was a Client U/Install using the Hotfix only. I did redownload and installed QOTSII again last night just to see. The only add ons I have are aircraft and ORBX. Do I need to run the 32bit in compatibility mode in Win10? Thanks

    Did a scratch install of P3D 4.5 and GIT, GF, just to see if it work and...Nope. Same thing, not connection. No ADD Ons, nothing but stock. Makes not sense not to be able to connect. Is any anyone connected to the 747-800?

    I did a complete reinstall of Win10 and P3d4.5, clean. No hardware changes at all. I am at a loss. Both the 737 and 777 work perfectly, I just dont know what else to try and I dont want to spend $70 on the 747-8 if GIT is not going to work. I thought about iFly 747 but would prefer PMDG. Any other ideas?

    Perhaps PMDG have changed the SDK and added a few things. This would cause it not to work. I will look into it.

    It does look like something has gone wrong with P3Dv4 and the 747. FSX, FSXSE and P3Dv3 all work fine with the 747 which is unexpected as usually a problem impacts all the sims. Its not obvious what is wrong. Are you getting OUT OF BOUNDS errors like I am?

    P3D v4.3 with 747 3.008415 is working fine, so PMDG or Lockheed have made some fundamental changes which is breaking GIT.

    Oh dang, hate to hear that. I am in software development and I dont understand why people do that...Any hope in a fix? I would update the website saying that so people dont think it works with QOTSII. I know 3 people that wanted to buy both GIT and QOTSII.

    Well that is nearly 3 days of my life I wont get back. After going through various versions I got it working with 4.5 and the latest 747 OK. I think my original installation must have been borked as I was getting those simconnect errors and no one else was. Anyway a fresh install of 4.5 with the latest 747 works fine for me. I suggest you try the same.

    I went back to 4.4 and new install, now that broke the B737 B777?? All I get is dashes in the MCP. So I ran the Fixer.exe like it says in the FAQ. No joy. I am starting to feel like Al Gore on election night :o Not sure what to try next.

    No I was not..Update: I ended up going to the MCP tab and unchecking everything, PMDG etc... Then went to the dropdown and selected Enable and rechecking everything. Then the MCP came to life. I dont know if its my machine or what. All are working B737,B777,b747.??? Just FYI
