Running MCP Default GA in P3DV4_5 just fine but not P3DV5

My MCP Pro will not function in the default GF configuration with a GA aircraft, in this case the A2A Beech Bonanza. In P3DV4.5, I see there is the file GFDev64.dll in the LM Modules folder.

There is no modules folder for P3DV5.

The MCP lights all LCD's when I run GFConfig in both V4 and V5 of P3D. However, in V4 as soon as I load the aircraft, my MCP functions just fine. Not so in V5.

Anyone know a way to get my MCP to function for a default aircraft in V5?

I think it has something to do with the above mentinined GFDev64.dll, but of course I'm just clueless.

Any thoughts, anyone...Steve... anyone????

Thanks!!

  • Can you post your GIT log please.

    Thx
    Steve
  • It looks like you are missing the the GIT Module.dll or the entry is not in dll.xml. Although its for older versions, step 3 here: https://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/16-installation/14-installation.html gives you all the info you need.

  • Hi Steve... I know you are busy. I REALLY do appreciate your assistance here. I'm following what you are asking me to do. However... when I look in my GoFlight directory, which is Program Files (86)\GoFlight I find the file

    GoFlight Interface Module 64.dll

Does the addition of the 64 have a bearing on what I'm doing here?

I can find and edit my P3D dll.xml file per #3 in the instructions, but I believe I would be having it launch an add-on with an incorrect name (the addition of the "64" in the file name). Of if I followed the step it would not find the file because the one it really needs has a 64 at the end of the file name.

    Thanks!
  • If you are using the 64bit version of GIT then that dll file is correct, just change the filename in dll.xml to match.

  • This is getting interesting. In my Users\appdata\roaming\P3Dv4 directory there is indeed a dll.mxl file to edit per the instructions.

In the Users\appdata\roaming\P3Dv5 directory there is no such dll.xml file to edit

    ???
  • Steve... that did it. All working just fine now.

THANK YOU Sir! Very much appreciate your help.

    Cheers
