Well it WAS a great thread until I mucked it up :s Here's the photo I was trying to attach -Mike <img src="https://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/vanillaforums/uploads/Uploader/65/f347d1320893207317f11be340de41.jpg" /> <img…

Great thread, guys. In addition I use buttons for the selections on this part of the panel (can't remember what it's called) to switch screens on the lower EICAS display. Very useful on a flight. -Mike

Over in the PMDG Forums, they said they inadvertently broke the data output for external tools and a fix is coming "probably tomorrow".
-
Strange - it's working for me now. Please disregard until / if I can replicate :#

Hi Steve, Yes! It's working great now with the new version. Thank you very much! Mike
-
Will do, and then will report back
-
OK thank you for the update Steve. Good luck with the new product! -Mike

I have assigned them (in the PMDG airplanes) to GoFlight GF-T8 toggle switches, and they work brilliantly
-
Does silence on this issue suggest an upcoming PMDG update will fix it? ;)

Sorry for the extended delay, been flying heavies for a month. I am trying EVT_ACP_CAPT_MIC_VHF1 & EVT_ACP_CAPT_MIC_VHF2 mapped to individual pushbuttons. When I press them, I see the correct Mic Selector buttons depressed, but the orange active light does not change. When I press with my mouse, they do.

Louis are you referring to the PMDG airplanes? If so, Wheel Chocks can be assigned to a keystroke of your choice in the FMC / PMDG Setup menu

Hi Steve, thank you... but yes I’m already familiar with that section, and that’s how it worked for me with the NGX: Down to Up with the 1st cycle, Up to Lock with the 2nd. But with the NGXu, it’s working like this: Down to Lock with the 1st cycle (red gear lights but no gear retraction), Lock to Down with the 2nd. I take…

I will match Leo's donation

I found the same in my older NGX (not NGXu) but was able to change it back in GFIT by: Go to the EFIS tab, select Device 0 Immediately below is a PMDG/iFly Only "Function" dropbox. Change Pilot to Copilot. I saved in the settings tab but had to shut down GFIT and open it (not just click Restart button) Does that work for…

Here here! Thank you Steve :D

Thank you so much Steve!

Hi Roberto, I’ve found a way to easily swap these in flight: export the settings of each device to an .xml file, then import each .xml into the correct device, then save settings. In your case export device 0 and call it tcas.xml, export device 1 and call it apustart.xml. Then import apustart.xml into device 0 and tcas.xml…

Hi David, I would be interested. Mike

Looks like the 747 could be affected also. In the PMDG Ops 2.0 I noticed my -400v3 liveries were not installed. (Subsequently realized they are still in the sim however). I installed one anew and with GFIT had a red light status indication (far right) just like with the NGXu. GFIT did not recognize it as a PMDG 747.…

Exactly the same interest for me - PMDG 737 777 747 are my primary aircraft but I own MJC Q400 and the others listed by eddmariner as well. Happy to pay.
-
Thanks Steve. As follow up, in 2 subsequent flights everything stayed stable so I've reprogrammed the functions and will do as you suggest. Cheers mate!

Hi Steve, Where is that download? I only see the 32-bit in the Download library. Disregard - I see I was on page 2 of the thread :s -Mike Frantz

Great news!

Answering my own question from above regarding a workaround: the EFIS Range knob can be mapped successfully to an RP48 Rotating knob.
-
To expand on Roberto’s guidance, and answer your original question: yes it is normal, PMDG implemented that behavior because it’s how the 777 and 747 actually work. But as a concession to all of us fooled and annoyed by that bit of realism, they’ve offered a way to undo it, which is the menu option Roberto has pointed you…

I’m sorry I can’t help with your issue but share your concern about GoFlight. They occupy such an important spot for me in the sim hardware market - quality much better than mass market plastic stuff, but not so high end as to be priced out of reach. For what its worth i ordered a replacement TQ-6 about a month ago; it…
-
Ok Steve thank you for the addditional context, I will stay tuned. I assume the only workaround is to use the virtual cockpit EFIS but if there’s a different method please let me know. Cheers, Mike
-
Thank you for clarifying, Steve. I went and logged a support ticket with PMDG to be sure they’re aware. edit - here’s their reply: Michael, All the information are in our SDK. If he believes that there is an omission from the SDK he must open a ticket in order for the development team to check. Chris Makris

Hi again guys - I’m confused about the resolution to this issue (EFIS range knob). is it: - fixed? - awaiting a change by Pollypot? - awaiting an action by PMDG? if we’re waiting on PMDG, do they know that? thanks, Mike Frantz

What happens (same for each engine) is the Reverser activates, the spoilers deploy both physically (the cowling) and on the cockpit screen. But then the Reversers don't increase in reverse thrust. Within seconds the engine cowling returns to the non-reversed position. It's as if the "repeat" command isn't triggered even…
