PMDG B737 for MSFS 2020 Launch Today - GIT Support

Hello all & Steve,

I was curious with today's launch of PMDG B737 for MSFS 2020 whether there will be native support for this product in the MSFS 2020 version of the GIT?

Like many of us, I'll be watching the PMDG website beginning at 1700z for product to go live. I understand if the GIT will take some work initially. I was just curious what the plans are for GIT.

Thanks again!

  • If I remember correctly with the old original Go-Flight software you could select a profile for the PMDG NG737. But that software no longer works for MSFS.
  • Thanks Dave,

I have GIT for FSX, P3D, and XP. I know that there is a default profile for PMDG NG, NGX, NGXu in the GIT. I was wondering what the GIT for MSFS 2020 status is for the just released B737 for MSFS. I haven't seen anything announced.

I just installed B737 for MSFS. We'll see what happens! :-)

    Thanks,

    Rich
  • I was hoping that Pollypot Software would look into the problem as I know more than 10,000 people have bought the PMDG 737 for MSFS most of who will not know it don't work with GIT. That is a lot of people who will buy GIT and be asking for their money back. :( Anyway lets hope Pollypot Software will find a fix.
  • Hi Guys,

Sorry for not responding; I've been ill for the past month and only now just getting back into work.

Of course GIT will be updated to support all of PMDG's releases for FS2020.

I don't know yet, how much work it will be, it depends on how much the SDK has changed. I will be starting work on it over the next day or two.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Update: Found a way to enable the SDK and have 3 greens. Will test with hardware tomorrow.

    Awesome!!!
  • Your a star Steve, full marks for this :dizzy:
  • Great news guys! With a few minor code tweaks, everything appears to be functioning OK with GoFlight gear. I will release it tomorrow as I need to update the installer to add the SDK options.

    Best wishes

  • Thanks Steve!!
  • Hello Steve,
Thank you for the Update :)

All run well exept the MCP, the MCP loaded up the Buttons and Switches work as well, but on the Displays are all zeros.
  • When the SDK is first enabled, the data sometimes does not come down. Restart both GIT and FS2020 and all should be good.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Hello Steve,
After three restarts no Numbers on the MCP, GIT fresh Install and runs with Admin rights. On GIT all three Greens are freeze.
  • Can you post your log.

    Thx
    Steve

There is no message stating the PMDG SDK settings are enabled. Are you running version 4.6 of GIT?

Also, is your FS2020 version Steam, MS Store or Boxed.
  • Jub, double check it. Version 4.6.0.0 file change 14.5.22
  • Ok, we need to check a file. Is your FS2020 version Steam, MS Store or Boxed.
  • MS Store
  • I have the MS Store path of 737_Options.ini as C:\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\packages\pmdg-aircraft-737\work\

Can you see this directory and file. Note it is not your Community folder.

    Thx
    Steve
  • AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages -> NO entry. the PMDG 737 sub Folder was not there. Only the Community and Official sub Folder shown.

    Thanks for your help.

Ok, that explains it. It is obviously different for each FS2020 version. Can you see pmdg-aircraft-737\work\ anywhere within the directory structure within AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe or under AppData\Local\Packages

    Thx
    Steve
  • I am getting nothing when I load the software. The display doesn’t even light up. What am I doing wrong?
  • There appears to be an issue with locating the 737_options.ini file with the MS Store version. I working on it at the moment.

    Best wishes
