Once you have the above working for option 1 on your GF45 and have read and understood the above, assign a button on your P8 for GF45_KEY_DEVICE0 so that you can press that button to cycle through different options on your GF45.
Then configure option 2 as follows:
Set the display to show sim/cockpit/autopilot/heading_mag
Set the CLOCKWISE and ANTICLOCKWISE rotary events to send sim/autopilot/heading_up and sim/autopilot/heading_down respectively.
