MSFS 2024

GIT don't work with 2024. Will it be fixed to work?

Comments

  • Would like t know as well.
  • I'm downloading it now so can look at it tomorrow. I would expect the GoFlight Interface Module just needs copying to the new community folder - have you tried this?

    Best wishes

  • I have just done a quick test and copied the directory "pollypotsoftware-flightsimio-module" from my FS2020 Community folder into C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community. Started up FS2024 and then GIT and everything worked.

If this doesn't work for you, please provide more info/logs etc.

I will get a new installer out over the weekend, unless other problems are found in the meantime.

    Best wishes

  • Yes this time it has worked :)
  • New version now out for MSFS. This is an initial release with further updates shortly.

  • Wonder what the definition of "Shortly" is here?

But supposedly the current LVARS and Datarefs for FS2020 will work in FS2024.

Will find out in a few hours when the PMDG 737-800 releases.

I have just purchased and installed the PMDG 737-800 for MSFS2024. Loaded up and started the GIT. EFIS seems to work but the MCP doesn't.
  • I just tried adding
    [SDK]
EnableDataBroadcast=1 to the options. ini files as I did in 2020 but this time it didn't work in 2024 is there a fix to get the Go-Flight MCP working?

    That was quick :dizzy:
  • Just tried this version. MCP still don't work.

Same. Loaded the new version, but still no MCP. EFIS is fine.
  • I have taken a quick look and GIT won't recognise the name of the new aircraft. Its a fairly straight forward fix so I will get an update out over the weekend.

Thanks Steve, fingers crossed there are no hidden issues....having worked in IT myself I know what it can be like...
  • Over a week now still waiting for that fix ......... :disappointed:
  • Any news on this update? Really missing having the hardware available.
  • for Mr ipearse this thread is well over a year old. My Go-Flight MCP works after the recent update this week.
  • What version of the software are you running?
  • For MSFS 2024 4.8.1.0
  • That is the version I have. I have the flightsimio module installed in the Community folder. When I fire up MSFS2024 and load in the 737, then start the GIT, I get all greens on the tool, the EFIS responds, but the MCP is still not responding.
  • The Status tab correctly identifies the aircraft as the PMDG 737-800...
  • The Status also shows the MCPPRO and EFIS both connected.
  • Have you added [SDK] EnableDAtaBraodcast=1 into the 737 ini folder?
  • If you have not done that, the mcp won't work the dials in the sim. Google [SDK] EnableDAtaBraodcast=1
  • Added that, but still no joy.
  • re-read the installation instructions and checked USB connections. Made sure all USB 2.0 as specified. Still no joy.
  • Decided the problem was my old USB Hub. Got a new one, powered, USB 2.0. Still no joy. Now I'm completely stumped.
  • Does anyone know of a way to test the panel itself? When I unplug and replug the USB connection, the displays light up briefly and do their test count, then go blank again. Is there any other way of testing it?
