Hi Steve, it did show problems. That's why I posted here. It sounds like the rotary encoder is faulty. Do you happen to know if they're available in this country? A contact with the relavent experience might be able to swap it out for me if it's a reasonably standard bit of kit. Where you able to fix your own faulty one?

Thanks Steve!

Hi Steve, I posted my problem on AvSim and others with GIT have also said they have the problem with V/S wheel. Using your software (thanks!) each of the knobs moves smoothly left to right and also in reverse when they're spun. The same is not the case with the V/S wheel which does jump around quite significantly. There…

I missed your earlier post. GIT does need to be running and there's no Addon prompt for P3D. Understood. Just wasted 3 hours trying to fix something because instructions were not up to date. Is the dll.xml entry still required for P3D v4? Please update them asap.
-
Okay, understood. Silly question. Does GIT need to be running with P3D or does the DLL control things? I've looked in the guidance but it's not obvious.
-
Steve, with respect there's nothing in the FAQ about the DLL not running as an add-on. Sorry for jumping in on someone else's thread but I've gone through all those items and none apply to my system. I've only had the PMDG737-800 a month.

Some additional info. If I start GIT with P3D not running all tabs except Status, Settings and Log are disabled so it's not possible to see the status of individual components. When I launch P3D and then load a saved PMDG737 scenario GIT tabs become available. I open the MCPPRO tab and it's disabled. I use the dropdown and…

Your post makes 3 of us with the same problem. Do you see a prompt for the GIT add-on when starting P3D? I don't and neither does another user.
-
Maybe with a few commands like Lights, p/brake etc but certainly not for the main autopilot unit which is completely different to Boeing and Airbus.

Thanks Steve. The integration of GIT with the PMDG SDK would appear to make life a whole lot easier. I only fly a couple of other aircraft - Xtreme Prototype’s Lear25 and Carenado PC-12 and both of those are reasonably straight-forward. The love of my life is Concorde but until FS Labs bring out a 64-bit version I’ll have…

Hi Steve. Thanks for your reply. I’m not familiar with LUA so that’s another hurdle to overcome. Are the variables you mention related purely to the PMDG737 or all aircraft? Do you use PMDG’s SDK at all for their variable names to be associated with GIT? Sorry if these seem odd questions. I’m just trying to get my head…

Sorry Steve, one more question. The PMDG737-800 had dual Probe Heat switches. Using FSUIPC5 I can map both to a single GoFlight T8 switch. Is that possible with your GIT software?
-
Thanks for your reply Steve. I can understand the mapping onto the MCP would be straight-forward as the controls are fixed. Regarding assigning something to ALL T8 switches that was poorly worded by me. For the Battery I use a single switch. But unless I assign it to BATTERY in the GF Config software it doesn't illuminate…
