Steve, thought you’d like to know that Mitch posted on Facebook that GoFlight will be making an important announcement on Monday.
-
Quite possibly but that shouldn’t prevent the website being updated. Or even a post on Facebook to keep people updated.
-
Hi Steve. Have you heard back from anyone at GoFlight? Nothing on their website about MFS. I have grave concerns they’re not coming back.
-
Thanks Steve, much appreciated. At the very least they need to provide a driver for their hardware so it will work with Microsoft Flight Simulator. My message to them posted on 3 August has not been answered. That's pretty shocking really.
-
Hi Steve, I hope you're right that GoFlight are in hibernation rather than close to ceasing operations. Mark's experience with so many problems with the MCP was very concerning. The problem is that customers aren't mind readers. If a company stays silent how are we to know what their intentions are? If you have a contact…
-
Hi Steve. I saw your post last night but it isn't showing this morning. The reason I'm concerned about GoFlight is their lack of public visibility. Nothing posted on their Facebook page or website for a few months. I've sent a message via their 'Contact Us' page. Let's see how they respond to that.
-
Hi Mark. Pleased to hear you’ve reached a solution of sorts. As long as it works that’s great. Steve, it sounds very much as though GoFlight are not resuming business. This is very concerning given the imminent arrival of Microsoft Flight Sim. Do they have any intention of making their expensive products work with it? I…

Steve, just to clarify, it’s not just a change of aircraft. Choosing the same aircraft with a different livery also causes the CTD.
-
Hi Steve, Have you had a chance to look at why GIT is causing CTDs when I change aircraft in P3D v4.5? I didn't load it today and switched to several airports and changed vehicle a number of times. No CTD at all. But as soon as I load GIT and change vehicle P3D CTDs. 100% guaranteed every time. I can get around it by…
-
Hi Mark, good luck with Aerosoft and let us know how you get on.
-
Hi Mark. I don’t know the significance of that software version but unless Aerosoft can give a plausible explanation for the errors a swap would appear to be in order.
-
When I acquired my MCP PRO I had to send it to the US for the firmware to be updated to A25. That is the minimum firmware version for it to work okay with FSX and P3D. If you unplug the USB lead and plug it back in the firmware version is displayed briefly.
-
The two I created today are now shown as Bespoke and appear in Settings.xml and BespokeEvents.xml. Can you explain the difference between EventCmd and Bespoke please? The aircraft name does match. That's the first thing I check for. Things seem okay now Steve so I'll just see how it goes.
-
I deleted the first two events in settings.xml and save it. Launched GIT and created the two bespoke events which use default FS events, not Lear ones. After adding both to switches 1 and 2 I exited GIT and checked settings.xml. They are shown correctly. So I know that today they were definitely there. If they disappear…
-
I wonder if this might be the reason the fuel valve events are not listed. This is from Settings.xml. They're shown as EventCmd rather than Bespoke. I shall add them via Detective and GIT and see what happens. Control ID="0" ACTIONType="EventCmd" ACTION="ONOFF" LIGHTType="SimVar" LIGHT="GENERAL_ENG_FUEL_VALVE1"…
-
Hi Steve, Could this be a bug or something I have done wrong? I know for sure I created bespoke events for the fuel valves in the Xtreme Prototypes Lear 25. I have used them on previous flights. But if you look at this screenshot you can see they exist in the XP_Gates_Learjet_25_v3_Retrofitted.xml. But look at the list of…
-
Will do.
-
Hi Steve, I've checked Settings.xml and there are no duplicate aircraft entries. Roger on the export feature. Things seem to be okay now so I'll keep my fingers crossed they remain so.
-
Hi Steve, Apologies. I created a bespoke event and then closed Detective and GIT. The time stamp on BespokeEvents.xml, BespokeVariables.xml and Settings.xml were updated and looking in BespokeEvents.xml it does contain the newly created event. I also checked the aircraft name and it's just Carenado PC12 so no problems with…
-
Steve, could you confirm the file that is updated when bespoke events are created please? That way I’ll know straight away.
-
Hi Steve, if I had lost just one event I’d put it down to misfortune. But I know I created several events yesterday that weren’t there today. I’ll check the short name to make sure it captures all liveries and not just the current one. I’ll do this tomorrow and let you know the result. One question. If there is an Export…
-
I’m posting my findings after losing a load of custom settings. I think I know why I lost them. I start P3D using SimStarterNG. That also has an option to launch other programs so I added GIT to launch once P3D was running. When I exit P3D it’s my belief that programs like GIT are killed rather than being closed in an…
-
Thanks Steve. That makes sense.
-
Steve, one question looking at your reply. You said 10000. But what value is that in reality? One thousand feet?
-
Thanks Steve, very helpful. I’ll have a play over the next few days.
-
Thanks Steve. At least we have a reason why it happened. Something to be aware of for future Windows updates.

UPDATE: FIXED!! I compared the two xml files for the one that didn't blank the 166s against the one that did. The DEVICE_STATE in the one that worked was DISABLED but in the one giving me the trouble it was set to ENABLED. I replaced ENABLED with DISABLED and it's sorted the problem. The 166s now stay alive when GIT…

Steve, Attached is a zip with two configurations. PMDG.xml is the one giving me trouble. Temp_PMDG.xml was generated by GIT as PMDG.xml after renaming my original PMDG.xml to another name temporarily. When starting with my original PMDG.xml the two 166s blank when GIT starts. When starting with TEMP_PMDG.xml (named as…

Hi Steve, Bit more info which may help. I loaded the Carenado PC12 for which I have several custom commands assigned to the T8 switches. That is fine and the 166s stay illuminated. So it points to something with the PMDG737 configuration. The log is clean too. No NAME:UNRECOGNIZED entry in the log.

Hi Steve, I thought sight of my simconnect.xml may help. Everything that needs it connects fine. What appears to have caused this little issue is a windows update which resulted in the IP address changing on my main FS PC. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?> SimConnect SimConnect.xml False False Auto local 64…
