SSNG has a feature that allows you to auto start executables like ActiveSky and GIT. It’s fine when launched manually and it was also fine on my previous computer. I’ve only had this new one a short time and the i9-13900K has 24+ VPs so I suspect it’s just a case of timing and assigning sufficient VPs. I’ll report back…

Hi Steve. I understand it stays Generic for all bar PMDG. That wasn't the problem. It was the fact it wouldn't change the aircraft name that was the issue. But that was after switching aircraft more than once. Not something I normally do. For whatever reason SSNG won't launch the new version I installed this morning.…

I've discovered the problem. I use SimStarterNG to launch P3D together with other executables. I had set the AF for GIT to just a couple of LPs and it seems that is not sufficient. I've now allocated all LPs to it and it loads the aircraft config correctly. Just one question Steve. If I change aircraft a couple of times…

I've found the problem and resolved it. I set a value of 1000000.000000 for MAX_TEXTURE_REQUEST_DISTANCE and it had unintended consequences. I was getting black buildings with the default of 100000.000000 and found a post on AvSim that recommended 320000.000000. That resolved the black buildings but others said they had…

A reboot and starting P3D again then GIT did suceed in loading an aircraft profile but with a few errors. A restart appears to have resolved the issue. Latest log attached. Anything of concern? 10:51:54 GoFlight Connection Starting..... 10:51:54 SimConnect Connection Starting..... 10:51:55 SimConnect Message Processing…

A question only Steve can answer I guess. Good luck!
-
I would imagine only GoFlight hardware can be recognised by GIT.
-
I used that code because those were the events listed in detective. But since then I’ve managed to get multiple doors working without using the Loop command. I think the Menu calls are to introduce a delay. The Vertx is different in that it has four doors.
-
Well done Steve! There wasn't that command in the Events but I had electricalMasterSwitch in the lvars. With a parameter of 1 it's turned the electrics on! :) Thanks very much!
-
This is what is happening Steve. Most odd.
-
It happened when I clicked Test Bespoke Event so that bypasses FSUIPC etc.
-
Hi Steve, Thanks for that. I'll give it a go. Whilst I was waiting for your reply I started afresh with the Carenado PC12. It went fine eventually as I was a bit rusty not having used GIT for a few years. But I now have a different problem with a specific aircraft. The Vertx DA-62. This was created for P3Dv4 but I had it…

I’ve asked Chillblast to add a USB2 connector which attaches to a backplate and then to a USB2 header on the mobo. Better safe than sorry. I’m sure the P8 and T8 modules would be fine. It’s the 737MCP and GF166 units I’m concerned about.
-
Steve, just a comment regarding fixing this problem. The link contains this text… “ Note that ALL connections in between the GoFlight hardware and the PC must be USB 2 or USB1.” I’m sure I’ve seen both you and Rob Ainscough both confirm GoFlight hardware will operate just fine with USB3. I’ve ordered a new PC that only has…

Steve, that’s interesting. Why renew the domain if the company isn’t going to reopen. And what happened to all that unsold kit? I bought my units 20 years ago this autumn and they continue to work very well. The alternatives from Saitek / Logitech are nowhere near the quality of GoFlight. Fingers crossed! :)
-
As a follow-up and for clarification it's not just a power connector. It attaches to a USB2 header. So as long as the motherboard you're planning to use has USB2 headers this expansion bracket should be fine. I was thinking that if it was just a power connector how would the OS recognise any devices plugged in. Attached to…

Gents. I'll be buying a new PC from Chillblast soon but wanted to clear up the problem of modern motherboards and their lack of USB2 ports. I rang Technical Support at Chillblast and explained the problem of requiring a minimum of 1 USB2 port preferably at the back of the case. The technician searched Amazon and found this…

Steve, just to confirm this problem is now resolved.
-
;) Arrgghh!!! I had multiple commands in my fsuipc6.ini for that switch and others. Commenting the DeIce ones out and reloading the button commands solved it. The deice commands were being actioned twice, once by GIT and once by FSUIPC. I’d been using the really helpful guide by Paul Henty here and overlooked the…
-
Hi Steve, FSUIPC remains a possibility. I’ll check that tomorrow now. I rarely change these settings so memory can fade over a few years. It’s the NGXu in P3Dv5.
-
Steve, I have two xml files relating to the 737 in my GIT folder. PMDG737.xml and PMDG.xml. They appear to contain the same info. Both seem to be required since renaming PMDG.xml results in the LEDs not working. I’m at a loss why it works for you but not for me. Just to confirm it’s P3Dv5.3 I’m running. Hopefully this and…

The xml entry didn't make it so here it is again. Control ID="3" EVENTType="NGXEvent" EVENT="EVT_CLUSTER_WINDOW_HEAT" ACTIONType="EventCmd" ACTION="ONOFF" LIGHTType="NGXData" LIGHT="DATA_FWDOH_ICE_SWITCH_WINDOW_ON_LEFT_SIDE" LIGHTACTIONType="LightCmd" LIGHTACTION="ON" LIGHTVALUEType="Float" LIGHTVALUE="1" / Open and close…

Hi Steve. I've checked BespokeEvents.xml, BespokeVariables.xml, Settings.xml and finally PMDG737.xml. Only the last file contains anything apertaining to the 737. I'm attaching a screenshot of the command assigned to the T8 switch. Below is the entry in PMDG737.xml. Does that look okay?
-
I did check the GoFlight software and nothing there. I’ll investigate tomorrow, thanks.
-
Hi Steve, That command is also engaging Wing and Engine Anti-Ice. Is it possible for those to be excluded? I understand from Pete Dowson that window heat was used on most flights but engine anti-ice is not used unless temps < 10C.
-
Thanks Steve, much appreciated. I hope you’re feeling better and over your recent troubles. :)
-
Thanks Steve. :)
-
Thanks for that Update Steve. His health issues must be serious if he’s not able to ask anyone else to sort out the issues. That sounds like excellent news regarding the new interface. Could you make it compatible with 4K displays please? The GFConfig one is very tiny and difficult to use.
-
What a sad and unprofessional way for a company to end business. All those empty promises about the future. Why on earth could they not make some form of announcement? Thank goodness for Steve. Without him we’d all have hardware gathering dust.
-
Remember there’s a slider to adjust the brightness of the displays. Make sure you have it high enough.
