Well, the miraculous just happened - I restarted my computer and took a stab at relaunching the GIT and presto - it's up an running. Don't know why (my computer has been on and off several times since the error first occurred) but who cares - it works!! Thanks for your help Regards John

Thanks Steve - I just completed verifying the integrity of the Steam files and the response was all files were successfully validated. Attempted to relaunch the GIT and it failed with the same error. Any other ideas?

Thanks Steve - I did a search for the Simconnect.dll file and the results are attached (i.e. the simconnect.dll is in fact in the SE directory.) What I find interesting is the original error message said the GIT couldn't find the "Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll" file; note that in the attachment, there are files…

The first file is the first screen message that appears after trying to start the GIT(SE) app; The second text file is from the "Details" button on the MS.Net Framework error message I referenced in my previous post. Hope this helps
