Sorting as in the view sorts? I really like those new views and the ability to left double click to auto search Lvar and right click to remove current Lvar ... massive time saver. Will try 3.4.10.0 tonight. Cheers, Rob.

Hi Steve, Testing out 3.4.9.0 ... when I add a Bespoke, type in name (i.e. _DHC3_LIGHTS_INSTRUMENT_ON) and click on the Check button I get a CTD with the following error in the Event Log: Application: GoFlight Interface Tool P3Dv4.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled…

Thanks Steve, will give it a test tonight. I'll see if I can be more accurate with steps to replicate renaming issue, actually think it's just a "refresh" on the actual button/control dropdowns (i.e. P8, T8, etc.) after a rename is performed in Detective (I see duplicate entries at the bottom of the list). Detective shows…

Thanks Steve, I love the Switch/Case construct, use it A LOT. Overall as you keep improving functionality my workflow improves, really appreciate how you're evolving the product lines. Cheers, Rob.

I need to complete Part II and III that I keep promising, with the holiday season coming up I might have some time to do that. But GIT has changed a lot since I did Part I of this tutorial ... GIT is even easier to use today with more functionality, so much so it's changed my approach to setting things up.
-
That could be it, I just got 2.0.9.0 today, will test out. Cheers, Rob
-
Great news, thanks Steve.
-
Ok, will get 3.4.1.0. Thanks again.

Hi Steve, I've not had the issue since working with P3D V4.1 ... also downloaded your 3.4.0.0 today and it's working well, no issues. Like the flashy background for Detective now :) Same applies to the SECM, all good. Cheers, Rob.

FYI, this is on a Win10 Pro 1703 with latest windows updates (two of those KB updates have messed up a few things that Microsoft have acknowledge but no fix yet, one of them being EDGE which I don't use). I don't know if it's relevant to this issue, but thought it prudent I provide that information. P3D V4 and GIT are both…
-
Thanks Steve, let me know what (if) you find out anything with the SECM. AV_ENABLED sounds great, I'll have to try it out. Cheers, Rob.
-
Thanks Martin, pretty sure I have that tool so I'll be using it to see what I can find out. Cheers, Rob.

Hi Steve, Unfortunately I haven't been able to determine what is trying to access GFDevFSXSE ... removing the file causes all kinds of chaos when starting PMDG aircraft. Unfortunately it could be many things, FSUIPC, UTLive, ChasePlane, PMDG. I'll keep testing and try to isolate. Cheers, Rob.

Feel free to change the subject title for this thread, it's not representative of content any more. Cheers, Rob.

Ugh, unfortunately this error has returned and is preventing other P3D EXE.xml and DLL.XML entries from shutting down when I exit P3D. GF data bridge stays loaded (which leaves all my GF module active), UTL_client, SODE all stay active after P3D shuts down. Activation context generation failed for…

I was contacted by email and I suspect it was thanks your input Steve, appreciate it. The solution to this problem (suggest by GF support) was to uninstall GF 2.28.0.0, reboot, re-install GF 2.28.0.0 and reboot. Testing with P3D V4 and PMDG, no more errors in my OS Event Log ... problem solved but I don't understand why…

Tried calling GoFlight support again, I got the usual message "if you're a member of our premiere support plan" ??? Don't even know what that is since it's not listed anywhere on their web site ... I assume it's some "subscription" plan I would need to purchase in addition to the $4000+ I've spent on GoFlight gear. Yeah, I…

Agree that it doesn't make sense. Here is the OS event log error that I regularly get: https://drive.google.com/uc?id=0Bw0Q-fAfEZwybW1UNGxrZUNrd28 My EXE.XML entry https://drive.google.com/uc?id=0Bw0Q-fAfEZwyUlB1SDhuTXhseFE Task manager reflects the correct P3D file version:…

Hi Steve, Sorry for my outburst in frustration (I'll try calling GF again on Monday) ... in further testing, and this is somewhat interesting, after renaming the GFDevFSXSE.exe to GFDevFSXSE_exe.ORG, then start P3D V4, load any PMDG aircraft and the MFD/PFDs are all blank (it's not the copy protection kicking in, as all…

See my response in PM. There is an issue with GF drivers (detect and think I have FSX-SE installed when I don't) but I don't "think" it has any impact. My only other thoughts is possible Power State options resetting the route? Do you start GIT before or after P3D? I'll try to confirm tonight, but I'm actually working on…

UPDATE: all good Steve, working with the latest 21686 P3D V4 build ... I'm using your Import/Export for device ID changes so don't waste any time on "device mapping" suggestion. Cheers, Rob.
-
Wow, that was quick, thanks Steve, will test out this weekend. Cheers, Rob.
-
Much appreciated Steve! Will save me a bunch of time and remove potential for human error since I have so many GF modules. Cheers, Rob.

No, HF1 is required (see Steve's info above). The HF1 fix LM implemented was the reason why Steve could make GIT work. There has been a level of urgency expressed by some 3rd party content providers for HF1 release, so I would expect it sometime this month (June) but that could change.
-
Thanks Steve, all GIT functionality seems to be working very well. Tested with 777 and 747. Only downside is that I can't use ASP4 as it's tied to Prepar3d.exe version ... will have to wait for update from HiFi. Squeeze in a quick request, could you add a feature that would make it easy to change device # mapping? For…

On a side note, the GF drivers trigger an error relating to FSX-SE which I don't have install, never had installed. Away from my PC right now in remote work location, but will try to RDP later and report to GF.

Get to work Steve ... HF1 (21593) ... Fixed issue related to the flag SIMCONNECT_CLIENT_DATA_PERIOD_ON_SET not working with SimConnect_RequestClientData Cheers, Rob.
-
Excellent news. A few other issues LM have resolved also, hope they get a timely release ... I miss my buttons and knobs ... forgotten how to fly without them :)
-
Does sound like a bug, I hope LM can replicate, but if LM can't repo, then no fix will be coming and that ultimately means a fire sale on all my GoFlight gear and look for alternate solutions. So have my fingers crossed.

Ok, cool, yeah Adam was suggesting that perhaps somewhere in the references you were linking in a 32bit DLL ... they weren't able to replicate inhouse so hopefully they can look at your code ... recommend you zip up the C code using native C source file format. Zip files and/or "some" (not all) links seem to be ok with…
