  • That's all it took. I wonder why the conversion to Win11 caused the problem.
  • This is what I'm getting when I try to log in and register the program.
  • Thanks. Would it make sense to delete GFIT and reinstall? All I did was run the Microsoft conversion tool to change 10 to 11. BTW I should have said I'm using MSFS 2020.
  • I'm certainly no not very good at this; however, you might try this. Open the detective and in the box where you choose events, choose one of the bespoke event. Then use the "test event button" and see what the event does. I've never tried this but it might help.
  • Look at the FAQ section of this site. The clue for fixing this is there (I think),
  • This is from the FAQ section. I do not have USB1 or USB2 ports but this worked on my PC but the Windows8 Fixer worked for me. The original GoFlight software is available under downloads on this site. Hope this works for you. LED's And Displays Are Not Working If you are running Windows 8 or Windows 10 and the LED's and…

  • Unfortunately, you must be in the cockpit for switches GFIT to work in MSFS 2020.
  • Beginning to get concerned. Steve has always been very fast at responding to those of us having difficulty but it's been almost two weeks since we've heard from him. I've seen that he is working on a new forum and that he was ill for a while. Hope to see him here soon.
  • I finally got this to work; now if I can remember what I did....
  • Pressing the heading knob in the cockpit camera view sets the heading to the aircrafts current heading. Useful to alight the autopilot heading setting to the runway heading for takeoff.
  • I have an underutilized powered usb hub so I plugged my GF modules into it and reconfigured. I'll know it works the next time I have a computer problem. Thanks.
  • Steve, Ignore this. A little more patience and all is well.
  • The polypot tutorials seem to assume a lot of prior knowledge and seem to be aimed at persons with far more knowledge than I possess. I think you need a program called Windows 8 fixer. It is part of the original GF programs and you will find the original GoFlight programs as the last item under the downloads tab above.…
  • Steve is directing you to the detective which is a button on the status page. I suggest you read the section on the detective in the GIT instructions to get an idea how it works. The instructions are for an older version but they'll get you started. There is a learning curve. I used the following: Clockwise "VOR1_OBI_INC";…
  • I have always uninstalled the old and installed the new in the same location. It has worked for me and insures you get the new code without interference from the old.
  • I have two RP48's. One is my autopilot with a knob for altitude, one for heading and another for course. The fourth was for auto throttle (when I flew on FSX) which is unused now. The buttons are used to select the autopilot modes; HDG, NAV, APR, VS, AND FLC. I use a companion GF46 to control radio frequencies, VS and FLC…
  • You could put a ohm meter on it to measure resistance or perhaps read some numbers or letters on it and see if you can match either.
  • Steve, Thanks for the reply. Do you know of any way to get a list of WASM events or variables?
  • I have been working on the FBW A32nx for a while now. So far I've found it extremely difficult to find all of variables and events needed to program the modules. The detective works to reveal variables and events but some still seem hidden. It's not as simple as it seems in the directions or in the videos. The FBW A32nx is…
  • Steve, Are you suggesting I look in the detective (which I have done) for a suitable event or elsewhere. I've scoured the SDK documentation and just can't find anything. Since this is an ASOBO aircraft and the Garmin 1000 is now included in the base program, I wouldn't expect a hidden variable or event. However, could this…
  • I am certainly not an expert but here are some things I've found helpful. Go into device manager (type "device manager" in the search box." Then go into the universal serial bus controllers, select them one at a time and under power management unselect "allow computer to turn off this device to save power". Download the…
  • Thanks. I thought I had to save the configurations to get them back.
  • Steve, For better or worse, I reasoned that there was some disconnect between GIT and MSFS so I removed GIT and all files associated with it and cleaned the registry. I reinstalled GIT and tried again and it worked. Certainly not an elegant solution but it worked. I noticed I have a file called settings.xml in the…
  • Thanks Steve, I've done that and did it again. Those are definitely the correct events. It's almost as if the GF48 is not connected to GIT however the GF48 lights when I click on Identify. As I said, I had to reinstall MSFS and GIT after reinstalling Win 10. I've also downloaded and ran Windows8fixer. The sad part is I had…
  • I downloaded and ran windows8fixer and now all modules are working.
  • I am adding some additional comments in case this would trigger a response that might lead to a solution. I have 4 GoFlight modules; 1 GF46, 2 RP 48 and 1 T8. My computer has both USB 3.2 Gen 2 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 connections. All modules were working perfectly even though my programming skills are not the greatest. I…
  • Steve, Wanted you to know that since my last post, I've had no failures. If I get another I'll zip up the log and send it.
  • Steve, Tried to send a copy of the log but it was so long it wouldn't fit.
  • Here's what I know so far. If I start the FBW 330 and then GIT, the plane will take a hard, uncontrollable turn to the right. If I then start Detective, the plane is steerable again. If I then cancel Detective, the plane remains steerable. I've searched the bespoke events I have developed and can find no interfering…
  • Joysticks is unchecked; however, I do see this entry in the log "06:28:58 Loading Joysticks". When using the outside view of the sim, I can see the rudder and nosewheel go hard right when GIT is enabled.
