Hi Steve. No more problems with Gizmo using v2.0.13.0. The latest versions of the IXEG, MU2 and Les Saab340 also work well with GIT. Thanks for your quick support. Regards, Martin
-
Hi Paul, GIT works for me with the IXEG provided I start GIT first (before XP11 is launched). It seems there is some conflict between GIT and the latest version of Gizmo64 and starting GIT first is the only workaround I know of. At this stage I don't know if the above conflict causes some other deeper issues during the…

I think I have discovered the cause of the problem I described above (GIT 2.0.12.0 only showing one green status light when started after XP11 is started). I have three aircraft installed that use a very recent version on Gizmo64. These are MU2(v1.8)/Les Saab340(v1.5) and the IXEG. I start XP11 and load up any non Gizmo…

Hi David, For me, the above issue is observed regardless of the method GIT is shutdown and restarted. Killing the process in Task Manager, or simply closing with the X window icon makes no difference.
-
Hi Steve, I am also seeing a similar issue. GIT 2.0.12.0 To get three green status lights GIT must be stared first. Only then XP11 can be started. Very soon after XP11 starts the three green GIT status lights all light up and log looks normal. If XP11 is started first (or GIT is Restarted while the sim is running) only the…

Tried the new HOLD support on GF166. Works great. Thank you.
-
Hi Steve, Thanks for fixing the ON event described above. I noticed a few days ago the above problem is still occurring for the GF166 button HOLD event. In other words, OFF and ON can now trigger custom BEs, but HOLD still cannot. Any chance of confirming/fixing this for HOLD in the future. Thank you. regards Martin

A full reinstall as recommended by the above link fixed my Q400 problem. Apologies for jumping to the wrong conclusion. I'm still relatively new to P3D. Thanks again for the support Steve.

I just temporarily removed GFDevp3D.exe and GoFlight Interface Module.dll from DLL.XML and EXE.XML and the issue with the Q400 persists. So this has nothing to do with GIT at all. Its probably the large developers update that Win 10 did over the weekend that affected the Q400. It was just a unlucky coincidence that I…

2 days ago. What is the best way to "temporarily" stop P3D from autoloading GIT? Win10 did some large developers update in the last 2 days. Perhaps that broke the Q400. I just want to start the Q400 without P3D loading GIT to help isolate the problem.
-
I tested the default Raptor and the FSLabs A320. No problems. Looks like the Q400 at this stage. I tried unzipping a full GIT backup from yesterday and this did not help. Basically the issue is, the Q400 loads and sits on the runway but does not revert to cold and dark state (but is configured to start cold and dark). Then…

Going back to GIT 2.6.0.0 has not helped resolve the issue.
-
Unfortunately installing GIT 3.0.0.0 seems to have broken something as P3D now starts but is unresponsive after loading the Majestic Q400 Pro which I did have a working config for in GIT 2.6.0.0. I notice that in app data I have: DLL.XML GoFlight Module Interface False F:\GoFlight Interface Tool\GoFlight Interface…

No problems with the new link. Thank you.

Yes. I tried the default config. That's how I got to see the STBY COM1 FREQ on the GF166 display. I can change the GF166 freq with the rotary as expected. But the VC does not change in sync (unless I interact with the mouse directly).

Works perfectly. Thanks for the quick response Steve. regards Martin
-
Thanks David. That worked very well. I was going to write a small plugin that exposed a unique custom dataref (that I was sure is not used by anything else) to hold the ALT increment value, but the Bes Vars work just as well. I usually prefer not to piggyback on existing datarefs since it makes things confusing and you are…

I worked it out. Here is the default COM example: By default using LEFT Button will set GF166_CONTROLS1 (config 1) so GF166_DEVICE0_ACTIVECONFIG = 1 for BUTTON_LEFT1 Light/Disp Data: GF166_DEVICE0_ACTIVECONFIG Light Action: ON Light Value 1 <--- The set GF166_DEVICE0_ACTIVECONFIG value when config 1 is active. Using RIGHT…

Just to add: I have read this related topic: http://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/vanillaforums/discussion/comment/1643/#Comment_1643 But unfortunately I am still lost: Steve's comment was: Assuming you have set the second function on the 2nd Active Config for device 0, then set BUTTON_RIGHT2 to use…

Installation instructions state: 2a) You should choose to install the software where your Goflight drivers have been installed (where GFConfig.exe and GFDev.dll reside). If you choose to install in another directory you will need to start the Goflight Interface Tool, click the Settings tab and select the…

I just updated from GIT for XP 1.6.4 to 1.6.5 (on Win 10) and noticed a few things: 1) With only GIT for XP installed the installer suggests a start menu name of "GoFlight Interface Tool". Anticipating that the P3D installer will suggest the same generic name, I tried changing this to "GoFlight Interface Tool XP10" during…

Thanks Manuel. I don't own a MCPPRO, but hopefully I can use your configs as a basis for mapping my RP48.

Steve, No rush, but I was just wondering if you had a chance to discuss this issue with QPAC. :) Thanks.

Thanks for all that good info. I might post a message on the saab forums about any custom commands or datarefs.txt. Just to clarify, if the Saab team does provide some custom command in a datarefs.txt will GIT pick that up and offer it as a selectable option?

I have spent quite a lot of time with the Saab. Sometimes changing the animation by itself will move the dial but have no effect underneath. I got some switches and knobs working with the Saab, but not all. The ones I could not get working included: 1) Changing the transponder mode STBY<-->ALT. In this case, I changed…

If I have a multi-line if block I define a separate bespoke event that lists every statement in that block. Then I define a new bespoke event that contains the IF an "Call" the first bespoke event in the body of that IF. This way a single line Call BE will execute multiple statements and it keeps the IF neat and tidy.

I don't quite understand why any settings for center 2,3,4 would impact how center 1 works when I am in mode 1. If I am in mode 1 and use the center button of the GF166 I assume I am invoking CENTER 1 (not center 2, 3 or 4).

Thank you for clearing that up Slayer. Getting back to the first comment in this thread, I have tried assigning BE_SAAB340A_NAV1_XFR_MEM_SWITCH to Button1 of the RP48B and it works perfectly. However, BE_SAAB340A_NAV1_XFR_MEM_SWITCH assigned to BUTTON_CENTRE1 of the GF166 has no effect. Other custom BEs I have defined also…
